so this is a young, wet (giggles) Flemeth but what exactly Is she? And why does it show Flemeth so young when Flemeth is actually old.
 
And I'm really intrigued by Cory's reaction when he sees her. He's completely unsurprised at the sudden appearance of this mystical naked women. I think he knows who she is and a person that Cory knows must be really old.
 
I think another thing we should bring up is her hair color. It's blonde. Hmmm, Andraste's hair was blonde but that's a stretch saying the river guardian is andraste. During the final battle with Cory, I was expecting him to say something regarding an Andrastian Inquisitor. Something like "Do you really know what Andraste is?" But I guess the Mythal mural in the Temple is all we have to go on.

Was the divines spirit after she was killed and wanted to help fix things

 

Hard Answer

 

Was Andraste pretending to be the Devine so she can lead you onto the right path against Corpheus?

 

Even the game never truely answers who or what she was..

All I know is that on my first play through, I was playing a female elf with the exact same hairstyle and not noticing the ears, just assumed it was her spirit or something.  Needless to say, I was a little confused when my giant male Qunari arrives in my second run and his "spirit" is.... a pretty woman.

I assumed Mythal but then again the original Mythal was an elf so I dunno. Looks like my recreated Hawke lol

Yeah the spirit says something like "Sorry if my format displeases you". Sort of implies the spirit hasn't taken its true form if it was for instance Andraste's spirit

Maybe it's a Mythal horcrux. Since drinking the Well binds that person to the will of Mythal, that's the only possible explanation I can think of.

Given that Flemeth carried the spark of Mythal at the time of the occurence, and given that the union happened when Flemeth was young, it's not entirely implausible that her will manifests in young Flemeth's human form.

 

One has to remember that Mythal doesn't really exist anymore, only her essence. There is no more "elf" to speak of.

I understood his "unsurprised" reaction" was just because he didn't care who the heck she was, he just wanted to get his hands on the Inquisitor and this woman was in his way.

Totally agree. In which case, it's technically Flemeth and Mythal in the Well at the same time.

 

What got me angry is how no one even acted like she was there. Everyone comes through the Eluvian, I expected someone to say "who was that"? but there was no mention of the woman at all. At first, I thought it was something Morrigan summoned with her new powers because I let her drink from the well, but now, I have no idea.

No spirit gave you the mark. The Inquisitor received the mark accidentally. Did you play the game?

I think it is a piece of Mythal or Flemeth. It makes me wonder if Mythal, an Elven goddess, was a powerful human woman.
