Society is a mess, a non fixable one in my opinion.

LOL, I used to flirt mercilessly with my English teacher junior year.

She never flirted back but that didnt stop me. She was fine.

I did the same thing with my biology teacher, she was hot. Oh man was I on fire.  :P

Because if the woman went to jail, then all the crazy feminists would say that he male student raped her thus causing bs.

Probably something like this would happen but on a larger scale. Can you imagine?

What IS IT with English teachers??

When I first went back to college, my first class was Eng comp. The professor looked like a Victoria's Secret model... AND she was from Toronto!

We used to call my English teacher Barbie due to having long, luxurious blond locks, the kind of swishy hair you see in shampoo adverts. Then he cut his hair and we called him Ken. True story.

I have heard stories and seen videos of this thing you Americans have called 'Black Friday' in places like Walmart. That would certainly make me lose hope for society quicker than most things.

Apparently Black Friday is like being in prison, someone will always get shanked.

I was a teacher for several years in NYC public schools, so I have a bunch of thoughts on this story.  First, I think it's crazy that this teacher didn't go to jail for this.  I'm assuming that she lost her job, but she had sex with someone who legally can't consent.  It's crazy that she got away with that.  I do tend to think that a male teacher would never get that same luxury.

Here's an anecdote from my teaching years that shows how petrified I was about this entire situation:

I worked in a high school, so my students were between 14 and 18 mostly.  I ran a science research program where I placed some of my top science students in researcher labs across the city and they would go there during the school day and earn science elective credit for their work there.  Because I had to send them around the city while they were doing school work, I gave them my cell phone number to text me if they needed anything.  It was worked out through the school ahead of time and, since it was really only a handful of my top (re: nerdy) kids, I felt comfortable with them having the number (fully aware that I might very well need to change my number if one of them made it public).  Well, two years into the program, I had an openly gay student (I'm an openly gay teacher, so it's relevant) in the program.  One night, I get a filthy sex-laden text message from him and I about **** my pants.  In one second, I imagined that this was going to be the end of my career despite my never seeing this kid once outside of school and having a completely professional relationship with him.  I just assumed that an investigation would happen and my name and salary would get plastered across NYC newspapers (this happened to another teacher at my school when a student accused him of groping her after class, so I'd already seen the effects first hand; he was put on 'leave' until it was settled and his reputation was ruined forever, despite eventually being cleared of charges).  I immediately texted back, "Don't ever text me again and we will be discussing this with the principal in the morning!"  Then I texted the assistant principal, who was a good friend of mine, to let him know.  The next day, we had a huge meeting about it and it turns out that the kid's phone had been stolen by his ex-boyfriend who was texting those messages to all of the adults in his life to try to get him in trouble.  There was a police report filed about it already, so we knew it was legit.  It all ended up okay (despite both the student and me being very uncomfortable around each other for the rest of the semester), but it just goes to show how quickly this **** blows up.  And the fact that I was so worried about it when I did absolutely nothing wrong, yet this lady can have sex with a kid and not go to jail?  Just boggles my mind.

There was a male history teacher at my highschool that lost his job because he rightly failed a female student. Said student then went on to claim that he went into the girls bathroom and tried to rape her (in front of her friends/sister who were also in the bathroom). He was fired from his job, wasn't able to teach again, and was eventually cleared for any wrong doing.

Im glad i wasn't the only person who had a ridiculously attractive english teacher, mine was super hot especially since she dressed pretty sexy all the time, although practicality every boy (& likely several girls too) fancied her no body flirted with her, infact the biggest memory i have of her is her storming out of class in a rage & not coming back for that lesson, everybody was talking to each other & ignoring her demands for people to listen & she just snapped

You had a hot teacher that dressed sexy and no one flirted with her?WTF???!?! You all missed a golden opportunity tbh. Especially considering you have nothing to lose! You cant get in trouble for an innocent flirt or two.

I remember her reaction would always be just to laugh, and tell everyone to stay on topic. It was great, she never wanted to give any of the guys in the class detention(because then she would have to stay with them) so we could pretty much do whatever we wanted in that class.

Yeah, i never saw any boys or girls flirt with her despite her being hot, boys would just talk about how she was hot & that they'd bang her but none had the balls to even flirt just a little  I would have tried flirting with her but i wasn't really out about my sexuality at the time & people weren't exactly tolerant towards students who were & i didn't wanna risk getting abuse for it

Another story that has the same sentiment. A Danish intern kindergarten teacher was accused of child molestation by a co-worker in New York. The police did not even investigate in this and immediately threw him in jail. They intimidated him into admitting he did it, despite lack of evidence. Even the judges in court did not want to even look at this guy.

Even though the court dropped all charges against him, the record, and the reputation, he has will forever ruin his future career. All of this because some co-worker didn't like him very much.

He only got away because it caught wind of international journalists and enough people were interested in getting it investigated thoroughly. Makes you wonder how many more people have been imprisoned, just because someone said so.

See thats the thing just false acusations allone can ruin your life.

look at the guy who spent 28 years behind barrs over a false rape charge or the guy who had the same treatment from someone whith previous history of lies. and she just found him on facebook.

Accusations alone can destroy careers & taint peoples opinions for the rest of someones life, i remember a UK story of a female nursery assistant/teacher getting false accusations of molesting the kids in her care by a couple of workmates who are said to have later admitted to others that they didn't agree with her having the job of working with pre-schoolers because she was openly lesbian, she was found not guilty but she apparently lost her job afterwards & wasn't welcomed back thx to the controversy of the court case, is f**ked up that someone can be found not guilty but still have their careers & reputations left in tatters, a guy only has to be accused of rape & there'd likely be alot of people who forever believe he's a rapist no matter what happens

This is accurate, maybe even more accurate than you know  :P

I used to work 3rd shift at WalMart stocking shelves, doing hunting/fishing licenses, mixing paint, making keys (and stuff) and let me tell you that I've done every holiday, but Black Friday and Christmas were the absolute worst. Working at WalMart really makes your faith in humans disappear rapidly and my faith was already pretty low to begin with. I've got plenty of stories that ranges from terrible customers to management breaking safety regulations to someone quite possibly trying to set me up while they stole from the register (never got confirmation on that, but I remain suspicious).

I had people show up on Christmas Even and during Christmas morning banging on the doors wanting in and people would constantly call to complain about the stores doors being locked, this was despite the fact that there were signs on the doors stating that we would be closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas. We probably had about 20-30 calls when all was said and done, you'd think that most of those people would be capable of reading.  <_<

Black Friday was a mad house though, I remember one of my co-workers asking me what I would do if I got knocked down and people started to trample me (I'm pretty short), I told him that I'd pull out my box cutter knife and start slashing ankles. Later that night, I actually saw an employee nearly get trampled to death, he just happened to be in the right place at the wrong time. He had a few elderly (that's right, around 70-90 years old) ladies scratch him and tear the skin on his arms as they fought over something (I think it was a sewing machine, I can't recall).

Thankfully, I don't work retail anymore. But if one wants to have their faith in humanity crushed, that is a good place to do it.

My teachers were a mixed bag, 1 was super hot while wearing skirts & knee length boots almost every day but i had another english teacher who was around 50 & was really sweaty even tho he was a selfish a-hole who on hot days took 2 or 3 big electric fans & had them tied with wire so they wouldn't move from facing his desk, everyone in class had to suffer the heat since he rarely opened the windows either :?
