First Platinum game was searching for Bronze game (to try something out) and running over to revive someone.  

I ran past a Prime while hearing a Banshee scream

Similar experience here.  I was looking for a Silver game with like a Level 15 TSent-Revenant.  I had never really given the Revenant X a try after hating it so much when I unlocked it at Level 1.  I had no consumables equipped (but at least I had gear!).  All my teammates were really good and carried me to extraction.  Not being able to really kill much of anything with my gun, I just spammed Warp/Overload to try to detonate as many combos as I could.  My first intentional Plat game was ACA with PPR.

Happened to me last night like that. There was almost nothing my Drellgod could charge to get shields back, without a sync kill. Just level I gear and ammo, and Glacier gave me nowhere to run to. I was getting one shot killed all game. My last death was two seconds before extraction, with no gels left.

Asari Huntress.  And we extracted!  After that I had a bunch of fails with miscellaneous characters.  After that I decided TGI to end the frustration.  Now I'll play almost anything on Plat.

Huntress was the first kit I took into platinum.  No slight on the kit, it's one of my favourites, but I was glad the rest of the team knew what they were up to.

First evah? Fury with Hurricane. I did ok, but got very scared and only took TSent to plat for a while. Then got tired of no-dodge and started running the GE. After that I got used to it enough to play most kits.

I don't really do platinum so I'll always be a platinum noob; however early platinum games for me it was generally Destroyer / Typhoon or SI / Piranha before the clip-size reduction, now it's SI / Raider.
