Just killed my first dragon at level 13 - specced as a KE. The question is when you are using spirit blade - is that damage based on your currently equipped staff? Is that damage on the staff also how the spirit blade hits.
For example a fire staff - is the damage that spirit blade does become fire? or stay spirit, If it stays spirit, is the damage just 3x that of my staff. So if the staff does 150 damage - does spirit blade hit for 450? Thanks for the advice.

Spirit Blade does 300% weapon damage as Spirit Damage, plus an additional 200% versus barrier / 400% versus guard. Spirit Blade's base damage is based upon the currently equipped weapon. No additional / bonus "elemental" damage is added. So no, a Fire Staff would not add additional bonus Fire damage to the Spirit Damage. Incidentally, it is possible to solo kill Dragons as KE as long as you are decently specced / equipped even on Nightmare difficulty. I play on Normal difficulty. My Inquisitor is a level 22 (currently) KE and solo'd the Storm Coast Dragon when I was 3 levels below it and my equipment was decent but not too spectacular. After the rest of my party died repeatedly and used up all of the healing potions, I decided to deal with the Dragon myself. I only used 1 healing potion myself, which happened prior to the rest of my party dying. It took about 15 minutes to solo kill the Storm Coast Dragon. Again, my equipment (at the time) was decent but not too spectacular. I never came close to dying, as I was able to almost constantly maintain Barrier. I used Fade Step to close the distance whenever necessary.
