Imshael? Imshael isn't in DA2, and he's not a mage, either. He's only in TME and DA:I, the latter of which he CAN reveal his true form.

Also, he prefers the term "choice spirit".

I never said Imshael is from DA2. i said his clothes are from DA2. And as for "choice spirit" i frankly don't care if he calls himself the "nug humper of all dwarves", if he is categorized as a desire demon then that is what he is, no questions about it.

Sorry, I misread that first part.

The last part was a joke, actually. :b However, I have questioned whether or not he is actually a desire demon. I do think that choice spirit fits him better because I find him a bit more... lenient than desire demons, for lack of a better word.

I c, it still doesn't answer my question on why the devs excluded the Desire Demons from this game. i don't believe it has something to do with time constraints cause they had about 4 years when they were working on this game.

Yeah, we only hear about them. I feel like the Despair Demons kinda replaced them.

I didn't liked the new demons at all (outside the fear demons, they are cool as hell) i really liked desire demons, but my favourite are the pride demons. I have no lvoe for fear and despair demons....

Probably just wasn't worth the effort to port the model over for a single encounter.

Can someone tell me how : Go out more , get laid meet real women is an arguement?

I went out to the museum a few months ago and it had naked portraits.

My gf just went to go watch 'Mommy porn' 50 shades at the cinema , does she need to get a life? She also read the books

Ive also heard there are a lot of Boobs in ASOIAF , and its somewhat popular , do those people need to get out more?

All 3 of those examples are from other forms of media , yet compared to videogames nudity is OK . Why can those media take on more mature or even darker themes and video games can not? Do you really want Video games to still be considered a 'Childs hobby?'

I'm not saying it should be porno levels of nudity and sex , but why are those two themes considered taboo?

Gaming seems to have a lot of taboo subjects which just forces companies to take the safe route and make another FPS clone , or dev's keep protagonists white males because they get less hassle when said protagonist has flaws (which are needed to make interesting characters) or all NPC are male because god forbid anything negative happens to a woman in a game even if it fits the narrative.

As for the desire Demon , why not have it as both sexes ? My bet it would have cost too much time and money . Which is weird because thats what ubisoft basically said and they got torn a new one.

People confuse the harm caused by this idealisation with it being the same kind of harm. These hyper muscular huge dudes create body image issues much the same way that hypersexualised portrayals create body image issues. The difference is that the idealisation is created by men, and some men are active consumers and enjoy it. Beyond that, there's no historical context of discrimination.

But that's all different.

This is completely false. First of all, the role of entertainment/art/whatever is to create ideals.

Secondly they create a body image issue for you perhaps, not for me, and not for all kinds of other people. Saying "These create body image issues" is basically just a lie.

Bring back the desire demons! I remember for a while in the beginning, I was confused because I thought the despair demon was the desire demon lol. The text was so small, I couldn't see what the name actually said.

Sorry, but I'm not letting such a blatant failure of internal logic stand. First you postulate the idea they do create body image issues for some people, then you say it is a lie that they create body image issues. The two sentences contradict each other. You wrote them one after another. They're just sitting there right next to each other. You have said A may cause B in some cases but it is a lie that A causes B. Not it is a lie that A causes B in all cases, but it is a lie that A causes B. It's like arguing that exposure to a flu virus doesn't cause flu because not all people get flu when exposed to a flu virus.

Don't be an idiot... He is listed as a Desire Demon so "Choice Spirit" as he claims is just a trick. Michel de Chevin said so himself, "A desire demon, more cunning than anything I have encountered... and I have played the Game."

Don't you understand jokes ? :D

I'm saying his/her discomfort is entirely individual, some people have no problems. Attempting to turn an individual experience into purely abstract declaration like "this is a serious body image issue," is attempting to make it seem like everyone has the same problem or that it is in fact inherently, a problem.

There was a "for you" in the first sentence, and the second sentence was saying it was some kind of endemic, which is like well no I don't experience this situation, so speaking for everyone in that context seems well, disengenuous.

It's a trend. There no need to weigh down every sentence about a trend with phrases like "in some cases", "often", "in general", when the context of the conversation makes it perfectly clear that you're not speaking about every single possible case but, well, a trend. Taking a single post out of the context of a pages-long conversation and nitpicking it isn't really a way to fruitfully engage with the topic.

I don't get it either.

But Bioware is second only to Indie devs in terms of PCness so I would not be surprised at all if that were the reason.
