I was quite pleased last night because it was my first time on perilous, and we completed a few times, thanks to a well played team(props to the tank, and arcane warrior).

..until 20mins later when I got a badly spelt message saying "learn to play noob" .Really put a downer on it. Apparently, despite trying my best to keep barriers on everyone, and drop slow-mo bubbles on key points, all the while focusing on keeping archers and assassins from sneaking up and killing teammates I suck.

It seems doing anything other than repeatedly casting barrier on the tank was frowned on, though I would say just as essential. I had to occasionally keep casting barrier on myself too to keep myself alive, which is where I think the criticism came from.

Either way. I got plenty of points towards the weekend challenge and a lovely superb cooldown amulet - oh yes!

I played a few Threatening rounds and 1 Perilous to get me over the line. First time playing Perilous (3 games) and all went pretty well. It is a shame that the first one became unplayable because of lag, but the team seemed to be doing really well. The other two games I played (I was host) were successful.

PC seems to be doing decently well which is good, considering the previous performances. I'll try and play some more tomorrow, to y'know help the PC players get over the line :P

K1ll streak, basically you just want to barrier yourself always but also barrier as many teammates as you can at the same time by paying attention to where you guys are a few seconds before barrier becomes available. Once youve got barrier bot down you can pretty much mentally afk while autoatking and using static cage and chain lightning on any mobs you see. Keeper is a great class to learn the ropes on perilous, keep it up and eventually you will become a valuable asset to most perilous teams ^^. Also always slot static cage ring if u have u wont regret it.

In my experience a good tank barely needs a barrier except when sometimes things go south (s*** happens). I rather focus on keeping myself and the DPS protected.

Folk who send snarky messages have bigger problems themselves and can be safely disregarded. It's not my job to cover their inadequacy ! I won't be able to play until Sunday evening when I hope the community challenge will be done already.

just gotta learn to ignore people.  most are just jerks. instead of helping you out by giving you some tips on what they think you did or didnt do, they just wanna be dumb.

Thanks dude! I appreciate all the tips I can get. My current set up has chain lightning w/ring, barrier with all the passive upgrades and freezing when it gets depleted, The upgraded disruption field, and the fade cloak upgrade. I also have the superb cooldown amulet, and 151 damage fury of the veil staff with 4% heal on kill.

I love disruption field as it stops all enemy projectiles and freezes tough enemies in place, making assassins an easy target. I honestly think that negating all projectile damage by placing it as a shield, or stopping mobs in their tracks is sometimes just as helpful as barrier, and used in conjunction with it provides both protection and excellent crowd control.

I might drop fade cloak for static cage then, though its great in a pinch, revives, and demon commander - I can just use disruption field instead for cover.

I couldn't play tonight because of company (that wanted to play Diablo 3 local multiplayer instead!), but one thing I noticed:

Still no announcement about this on the HQ Dashboard, or recap image from last week.

Bioware, may I suggest (and I know you don't care, but I'm going to say it anyway) that if you want us to stop thinking you're putting in a half-assed effort toward DAMP (or DAIMP, based on your Twitch stream), then stop putting in a half-assed effort toward DAMP.

Thanks.

Actually, they did, it just was on Twitter only so far...

Meanwhile, PS4 is at 69,082 and nearly done. Which is marvelous because I haven't done jack all to help the community this time. :( Took my beloved Legionnaire and PUGed Perilous for the first time last night. First PUG was pretty good and we made it to Zone 5 just fine, then everything fell to crap and I am not ready to solo Wave 5 Perilous. Failure. PUGed into a new group, didn't make it past Zone 3 because there was zero teamwork whatsoever and everyone was running off to die alone. Sighed, went down to Threatening with my Level 6 Hunter thinking surely that shouldn't be too bad, since I got used to Threatening last weekend. Nope. We all managed the Wave 5 wipe.

I am a scrub who needs to stay in Threatening with characters Level 8 or above, clearly. *sigh* *insert sad trombone*

If the tank (I assume Lego) was the one who sent you that message, then he's the one who needs to L2P. Even on perilous, a good Lego doesn't NEED barrier, though it's always appreciated.

Also, damn you for getting that amulet. It's one of 4-5 items I still desperately want. :-P

When people call DAI a console port I guess they aren't kidding after all.
