Oh man I would totally play with that mod Cassandra was one of my favorite characters its only made more awesome knowing that as I took joy in my game my single player game doing what I wanted hurting nobody I would be doing it while pissing off a bunch of turds. Awesome.

A straight Dorian mod would only make him straight in the games of people who download it, while everywhere else he remains as he is. Considering all it boils down to is lines of code you are just changing a line not a living person.
 
So as long as no-one says that this is how the character should have been. Then ultimately it doesnt matter what people choose to do, as long as they understand that a character would not and should not be changed by Bioware because of a mod.

Going to start this off by saying that I really don't care at all how other people mod their games. It has nothing to do with my own plays and I don't even bother to get into the whole "what this says about the person who uses it" discussion because I really couldn't care less. I know certain people with particular thoughts exist out in the world and ranting about them on the internet serves no purpose and accomplishes nothing.

That said, for Dorian in particular it would be rather obtusely ironic given his history and the content of his personal quest.

I don't personally support these kind of character altering mods, but I am sorry for the modder. No one deserves this kind of hate.

 

Yeap. Modding is, to put it as bluntly and directly as possible, is a free-for-all clusterf**k of awesomeness. Anything goes. It does depict the pungent saturated hypocrisy from Bioware fans though because I have never seen this much crap from Skyrim modding and you have all sorts of mods for that game...

Romancing Miranda in MASS EFFECT 2 with fem mod was one thing but this sounds like another. I don't see Cassandra as a lesbian sort. i did try but she got all ubber fem about it when I tried girl on girl mod free. If she's guy only she's guy online.

Last i checked Nexus is free to put up just about anything mod wise, and other places allow more, why do people feel the need to tell others what they can or cannot do..

Well Triggering is bad when people are being insensitive clowns by antagonizing someone with one or content makers don't give a proper warning for them.

 

Except Skyrim fans do complain about their mods too this isn't exclusive to Bioware fans.

 

Criticism isn't censorship however and I really wish people would stop insisting it is.

I don't remember people saying censorship when people were criticizing the Cortez/traynor mod in ME3

At a bare minimum, I wish people would stop trying to end all discussion of the mod by invoking the rumours of death threats. There is no evidence that they ever happened, and not even the modmaker's own posts said anything about death threats.

And thanks for clearing that up still though even if you thought the mod was in poor taste the harassment and vitriol this girl's gotten over it was uncalled for.

So the equal love mod for Origins has 3000 endorsements but the same thing for Cassandra gets people so mad they drive the modder away? Are people bipolar, has the fanbase changed that much, or what's going on?

No, some people have become completely insane about matters involving sex. Everything is political, everything is a representation issue, everything is a matter for identity politics. And people wonder why I hate identity politics. Live and let live, damn it! Let people make the mods to games they prefer, and let them use the mods they prefer.

 

I'm tempted to make a bi Dorian mod just to spite those assh*les.
