You know what? I'm done with being PC. It's a noble intention, but it's become perverted in it's nature over the years, thanks to the dumbassary of people. Because people's priorities have become so messed up and selfish, that it's no longer about trying to keep the love. It's about going on witch hunts, and bullying the next person they can find. I've seen "SJWs" get turned on by their own kind so easily and quickly, because they made a comment that others didn't like. We've seen Bioware themselves, people who champion diversity in their games, get turned on by the same people they work hard to make happy.

 

I'm not out to offend anybody, and nobody should. But we as a society need to stop enabling these Social Justice Bullies, by constantly apologizing to them until they've been satisfied enough to think they've "won" or something.

This is a game, designed for fun and enjoyment, what a person does to their game through mods is their business no one elses, don't like the mod don't use it, offended by it tough luck, life moves on...

 

Attacking other customers because your morale compass is completely out of whack is not right at all..

 

 

Modders are needed in games like this... To harass them is stupid and short sighted, beyond short sighted.. and i hope the person puts it back up and ignores these fanatics..

And I'd find those people stupid too. So long as nothing hateful is involved, or stuff such as ''this is how the character should have been'', mods are just mods. Let people apply them to their hearts's content, what the hell does anyone care what someone else does in their own single-player game?

 

But alas, we live in a time where some minorities in social netwoks are looking for things to be outraged about and immediately resort to bullying and harrassment to make themselves feel righteous. People being stupid is nothing new, but it really reaches new levels of absurdity when people call someone a rapist because they changed a character's sexuality in their game.

 

Personally? I could honestly care less with what someone does with their copy of a single player game. I'm just making a point.

I'll never understand why people complain about mods of any kind unless the mod breaks the game. Even then mods are "at your own risk." Mods are about as optional as you can get. It makes as much sense to complain about what someone is wearing or what they are eating while they play the game. Who cares?

Absolutely not. I'm totally contrary to that. It is the most imbecile thought possible. But again you probably like Inquisition which explains your lack of brain which explains you trying to fit all and any information in standadized behaviours and speeches to divide people into categories and deliver pre-made answers.
 
Just so you know I'm absolutely against any association of looks with sexuality or even gender.

I'm not going to type how anyone else should act on a forum.  I'm just going to type what I do and then, shut it.  When I see a mod I don't like, I just pass it by.  What could be simpler? I am the same about topics and comments on the forum. If you type something I don't agree with, I'm not going to comment. I'll just ignore it and go on my merry way. I won't even expend any effort to remember your handle so I can ignore you in the future.  You might type something I agree with later. Hey. It could happen.  If someone does type a comment that gets past my filters enough to actually offend me, I will report it and go on about my business.

 

I don't care what you do with your game. I don't care what you do with your forum account. This is the most effort I'm willing to expend toward offensive people. I'm done now. Go play.

In my opinion, mods are just another form of fan-fiction.  They can be of the highest quality, the lowest of the low or anything in between, and may very well enhance a players enjoyment of a given series.  However, like fan-fiction, it is entirely non-canon.  Cassandra is, and always will be, straight until the original creator says otherwise, but that should not stop anyone from having fun and giving their own interpretations.

 

This is why nobody should care what a modder does to a character (as long as it's nothing illegal).  It is that modder's own interpretation that they are sharing with the world.  If others desire and want to experience that interpretation, then they should be free to enjoy it, as games are all about fun.  People who don't like mods should just remember, Cassandra will always be canonically straight, Traynor is canonically a lesbian, Dr. Evil's Virtucon is not a canon civilization in Civ 5, Dragons in skyrim will never canonically be Macho Man Randy Savage/Thomas the Tank Engine/A Pony, etc...  If someone DOES want macho man dragons because they enjoy the absurd, then they are doing no harm by downloading such a mod.  It doesn't change canon, and it doesn't change your game, so let them have their fun.

It's not just about minding one's own business.  If someone sees something that is in violation of the TOS, by all means be a good citizen and report it.  Just don't resort to internet terrorism by threatening and intimidating the person who created and published something you don't like, or agree with.

 

It's about tolerance, and accepting that other people enjoy something that you might feel strongly against.  It's a much bigger social problem because unfortunately, in our society, everyone seems to think they are 100% right and refuse to see the other side, or another POV.  Then these people complain about characters like Sera for being too stubborn and refusing to accept other people's views.  The world isn't always black and white, people need to take a step back and calm the F down.

Since i'm no fan of romance mods (i don't get the point of it since they'll call you with the opposite/same gender and i'm surprised it doesn't kill the immersion), the vitriol and the death threats that are sent to modders are childish AF.
