What about music fans out there. Who would you imagine composing music for this franchise? Professional bands and video game scorers alike. I would like to see Inon Zur coming back for the sequels and maybe collaborating with Trevor Morris. An impossible music dream of mine for Dragon Age would be to hire Nightwish to make epic battle fights and the rest of the game's ambient sounds. I just got something for symphonic metal in medieval settings.

Someone who will compose entire songs and not just 30 second blurbs to be played once an hour...

Amen... I feel you there. The MP section of DAI seems to have way more soundtrack than the SP mode.

For a second there, I thought this was going to be about Glee: DA edition...

You know, I'd always thought to myself... can that Mother Giselle song after Haven, and give me some ****** Slayer instead.

Gonna be honest, after season 3, I started hating Glee. Too much fans pandering and too much Klaine... at least there's the Brittana wedding tonight... *deep sighs* Oh well, now now, let's go back to the main thread which is about music and Dragon Age. :3

I liked Inon Zur's stuff, adored Trevor Morris'. A collab would be cool, but I would never ever mind if Morris would continue alone.

I have no idea what you're talking about there, bro.

But I saw the words... "pandering" and "too much X" and it made me think of these forums...

Okay. I'm derailing again, aren't I?

Back to topic... would love me some heavy metal during epic battles, would help to get the adrenaline and the blood pumping.

I agree on the heavy metal. Something loud and agressive and makes you think: "KILL THY ENEMY!" Mwahahahaha~

****** A.

Blast beats, double bass drumming, guitar solos, ridiculous growly vocals... the works.

I'm about to ask people here to find fan chosen themes for characters they like or situations in the games where they feel some music would feel more appropriate for them. XD

Wut?  I can't be the only one here who's in love with DA:I's soundtrack?  :o  really?

I thought it was perfect.  The Elder One, The Inquisition Marches and In Your Heart Shall Burn are my favorites :)

I'm at work right now listening to the soundtrack, actually :)

I loved the bard songs and the main theme, but the rest of the game feels so quiet... Too quiet...

Trevor Morris was decent. My main problem with the OST is that it was either highly underused or it is just bland. I've put 60hrs into the game and I can only remember about 15 seconds of music from one soundtrack.

I would just like to be able to have music play continuously. Trevor Morris' work is pretty good imo, they just don't use it enough.

Also I'm partial to cheesy 80's music:

John Farnham - Thunder In Your Heart

Kenny Loggins - Danger Zone

Survivor - Eye Of The Tiger

Taylor Dane - Original Sin

Oscar Araujo's scores are pretty epic. He did the music for Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 1 and 2.

Also, I would like to hear pretty much anything done by 2 Steps From Hell.

Danger Zone is actually about fade rifts. Original Sin ... Maybe about the majesters breaking into the Golden City.

Masashi Hamauzu would be my ideal composer for Dragon Age. I loved what he did with the Germanic styled fantasy world of SaGa Frontier 2. The main theme is absolutely beautiful. There is also a sense of tragedy within the tracks for SaGa Frontier 2 as well, I would love Dragon Age to have such beautiful music like this.

Edit: If you can't get Masashi Hamauzu then get Russell Brower who is the best video game composer in NA imho. If you need a resume of either of these two composers listen to the SaGa Frontier 2 OST and the Wrath of the Lich King OST. Also Russell Brower has done amazing tracks for Diablo 3 and my favourite SC2 BGM, Heaven's Devils.

I thought this was a technical problem related to the party banter issue.

I'd love to hear some trippy electronic music. Some indie music, too. Something that would go well with being high while playing.

Curse of Feanor is the only song I've heard that I actually find to be good. I tried listening to everything else on that album and just couldn't get into any of it.

Ah man.... Skyhold... Skyworld? :D :D

That would have been epic.
