I've said this stuff in other threads but here we go.

 

Things I want:

 

New store mechanics. You can keep it the way it is now with the random packs, but also allow for being able to buy what you want. Want to buy a spectre pack for 60k? Fine, you'll get a random gold card and other randoms cards. Want to upgrade a specific weapon, it'll cost you 60k a pop and you get nothing else. That way even people who get into the game late and have it watered down with a lot more weapons can still control what they max out, even ultra rares, but obviously they need to be expensive. Packs that guarantee UR cards. You can also buy whatever equipment you want so if you want to play a shotgun character but the store hasn't granted you any amps you can just go get some.

 

Eliminate or greater reduce the penalty for playing off host (lag, phantom DR, projectile anything).

 

Mode that allows you to build your own character (race, passives, powers, all pulled from existing characters), but this mode grants no XP or credits. It's only there for fun.

 

Perhaps also a system that allows you to unlock character appearance options by using the character (less cards to unlock this way).

 

More creative challenges. 200 waves with all those characters is just annoying. Not a lot of thought was put into it, so I'm assuming the next one will be better thought out.

 

Only take your equipment at the end of a game or upon quitting or dashboarding. Losing my equipment because I lost connection to the servers is mind numbingly annoying. Equipment loss due to power outage is rare and can be dealt with. Also maybe give a 1 wave grace period to allow quitting without taking equipment. If I get into a game with horrible lag, I shouldn't be punished for leaving.

 

More flexibility in searching for games. Maybe have an inclusion and exclusion list, like any map except Condor, or any enemy except Cerberus.

 

Bonus cash for Uknown/Unknown games.

 

Instead of platinum being a mix of factions, have it just be harder. Also include mixed factions for any difficulty, like Cerberus/Geth or Geth/Reapers/Collectors. The combos are quite high.

 

If someone gets phantom stabbed or the equivalent, they can't medi gel, but someone can revive them, but the revive time is much longer (like 10 seconds). Makes no sense why they pop up on their feet when the round ends.

 

Larger scale, with maybe progressive type gameplay. Hold out for 3 waves, then do an objective that opens up more of the map, and so on.

 

Cloud based manifests. If I unlock something on Xbox, and then boot up my PC, I'd love to have that stuff unlocked there as well instead of having to re-unlock everything. This is extremely doable and would be a shame if they didn't do it.

 

If I think of more I'll add them here.

 

Things I DON'T want to see:

 

PvP. Seriously, if I get ragdolled by Throw, or frozen by Stasis that'll get old real fast. If it's an optional separate mode, then fine, I just won't play it.

 

Friendly fire. This game is fun, and pretty hard to troll in, which is probably why I've played it for so long. If someone can lock me in the reactor, that's my fault. If someone abombs me, they probably had to work pretty hard to do it. Friendly fire just makes it too easy to grief people.

Just a few thoughts:

 

My number 1 wish: proper character creation for MP where you get to pick gender, race, class, skills etc. - and more or less unlimited amount of characters. The one-character-per-kit-and-the-class-levels-up-as-one system in ME3MP is beyond stupid. It only limits your options to play the way you want to play. Seriously, WTF were they thinking?

 

I want weapon balance to be based on the principle that ideally every single weapon is equally good (which is subjective, of course). If rarity is still a thing, base it on the distinctiveness of the weapon in question, so that weapons with ordinary behaviour are more common and those with weird-ass special effects are rare. Ultra-rares shouldn't be better, they should open up new ways to play the game. And some consistency, please: as a rule of thumb, a bigger weapon should be more powerful than a smaller one - this was handled horribly in ME3.

 

More complex and involving mission objectives, some of which could be map-specific. At least in some cases the enemy should be aware of your objective and actively work to undermine your efforts. Also the inverse: sometimes the player objective should be to disrupt the activities of the enemy faction.

I want to start businesses!
I'll start off with galactric cruise tourism for Quarian. I'll rent an old freighter, have some fancy paint outside, remove all the life support and leave just two ports for those induction and waste things so I can recycle their waste over and over for crappy synthpaste levo or dextro stuff (they won't even know the difference) and before they can file complaints, I'd have taken the cash and gone to Thessia to sell them ladies blue lipsticks - "dernier cri" in Council Space!
 
I also got ideas for them OCD Turian and I think I could setup funeral services for humans providing random husk corpses as 100% unlucky family members in the Reaper War.

Human nature being what it is, I think friendly fire opens up way too much scope for griefing.  It'd be okay in games with friends, but pugs could become a nightmare.

 

Yeah, I agree.  Imagine the situation when players get into a PUG game, equip all their best equipment, and then fail because some idiot keeps chucking Cluster Grenades at them while they are trying to shoot the enemies.  Might be fun for experienced BSNers, but the majority of players aren't BSNers.  Although... you could have an option to turn friendly fire on/off, so people could have fun with it or avoid it at their preference.

 

Instead of friendly fire, I vote for more exploding enemies to Lash at teammates and more death rooms to lock them in!

I have said it before and I'll say it again... Platinum needs to have increased enemy movement speed.  That would do a lot more for difficulty than just tacking an extra couple of thousand armor/barriers to the boss enemies would.  And hey, it might make Cryo rounds useful after all.

I think it would be fun to still have the me3 mp maps in addition to all the new maps... but only if they're updated and de-bugged.

So, I take it, you'd like more of an MMORPG style......not sure if I am sold on that mix yet.....I dearly loved the co-op style as it was quick/easy/fun/uninvolved (for the most part)......ME3MP was so much fun because u could just drop in and wreck things, imo.

I love the setting as a whole - I don't know if the success of ME3MP can be repeated - I guess we all hope.

I just hope we DON'T have those things:

 

- region-locked matchmaking (you'll never see a BSNer if you live in remote countries);

- even worse RNG grinding (store gives duplicate items over and over again);

- gameplay that emphasis on gear/promotion rather than skill (enough promotions make a lvl1 have more attributes then a lvl20, seriously?);

- piles of bugs and unoptimized netcode (so we are all beta testers until several months after release).

 

If they manage to avoid those things and improve upon ME3MP's gameplay, I'll be happy to pour another 1000 hours into ME4MP.

I agree with all your points. Why the hell is region-locking even a thing? The f*ck's the point of that? I know I'm ignorant on that, but I'm sure whatever the reason is, it won't justify it's existence.

 

Another point I'd like to add is not having the SP and MP intertwine. Seriously. I won't ever touch the SP, and I'm sure the folks that won't play the MP wouldn't want that either. And no PVP. I love PVP, but it has no place in the ME games.

More game modes

Tougher difficulties but not by boss spam

I'd like it to have more focus on cordination among the team and a mode like "special ops" or " raids"  (like destiny has it) would be really fun.

I really would like SP co op. It doesn't have to be played cooperatively though. Strong story but cooperative play when two or three players are playing together the difficulty modifies sort of like Borderlands had a modifier. Monthly expansion SP story missions. 

 

Raid mode would be fun as well.

 

Multiplayer I honestly just hope they polish a few things and get a little better on the bugs. Make the store faster for fucks sake. If you're taking my credits at least don't take my time as well. Give me my **** and let me play the game instead of being locked in the store. More maps, more factions, more coordination between different enemy units, IE a smarter AI..

So, add kick, yes? Or, add negative effect to person initiating power? "you added x amount damage to friend thus you have x decrease to shields" for example?

If somebody is trolling someone, I don't think they'll care if their shields are lowered.

I want to be able to change every aspect of every character, every single piece of armor. It'll give more items to collect. I hope they remove cobra missile launchers and create a real medic class maybe. I really want a game mode for a squad of AI teammates that can be customized.
