I want to be able to vote to kick people mid game,
Never should happen but they should have a better automatic in game kicking mechanism. There is simply too much opportunity for abuse. If someone is getting outscored, or simply wants to be a dick because their jimmies are rustled and they kick someone out on extraction wave? Yeah I see that being more a pain in the ass than leechers. If someone is leeching just kick them after the match, I know it sucks and I hate when people leech or cheat but it's one game.

I guess I pretty much just want more of the same, with the bugs fixed and the store amended in some way to reduce the randomness and occasional total inappropriateness of what it currently provides.
I think a better lobby system could be designed to incorporate hub-based recruitment to squads inspired by the Archangel mission in ME2, where taking it to the next level you could actually go and fight with themed teammates. Themed challenges similar to the weekend ones of ME3 should be constantly available, with best scores recorded the way we do here in HoF threads. Missions could also include different categories other than overall difficulty, where you can effectively rate yourself as a Try-Hard or an Average Joe, finding appropriate squadmates. That would allow those who enjoy perceiving a competitive element to co-op play to knock themselves out without having to introduce PvP, which would suck totally and completely in a Mass Effect universe.

Ability to control what kits and weapons aren't allowed in the lobby. If for example, I want to host a biotics party, instead of having two AIUs and a flamer trooper running about, I should be able to do that.
I don't want to kick someone based on what kit they use, that's just being a dick, but the game is exponentially more enjoyable for me if I can control how my own lobby is set up.

No to this, mainly because just because I join a lobby with a certain kit doesn't mean that's the kit I play with. I, and a lot of people I know, will change up their kit to better sync with teammates in the lobby. Now you're punishing me and not letting me find as many games just because of the character I'm searching games with.

Not only that but there's a reason I don't play certain biotic kits as often as I do. Lag. Yeah, lots of fun when warp misses a target six feet away, doesn't connect until after I've unloaded two shotgun mags in somethings face, and detonations are as rare as hens teeth.
Simpler to just ask a lobby if they would like to play a certain way. I wouldn't be opposed to that at all and be happy to comply if the aforementioned lag wasn't kicking my ass.

- Airdrops of heavy weapons for additional fun inbetween.
- bigger mals with more enemies at the same time
- more ammo types, less crap ain't nobody uses anyway
- customizable armor with gear mods

My Big 3
1. Lobby options: Knowing pings, locality of hosts. Whether I want to host when no games are available or wait. Joining games in session or not. Downgrading difficulty or not.
2. Improved coding: From off-host issues (good luck trying to snipe, vanguard, or use projectile weapons) to bugs like invisible enemies/teammates. I know nothing is perfect, but some of them are frequent and game breaking.
3. Shop RNG: Maybe have a guaranteed ultra-rare item pack or simply a better drop rate. 1000+ hours to max manifest is ridiculous.
wish list
4. Removal of the combat roll/add interaction key: There are too many functions for so few keys and the additions of off host delay can make the act of running difficult. Remove combat roll, which I find useless, and add an interaction key for hacks, heals, doors, etc, (like the first 2 games) will improve overall gameplay.
5. Fixed kits: One shouldn't have to respec every time they switch characters. Changing the consumables is one thing, but the game should save my equipment loadout.
6. Information: The cute descriptions for items is terrible. Don't say "stun level 1.8" say "25% chance to stun." Instead of head shot level 3, instead say "35% more damage." Don't say "to lifted targets" say "targets that have been primed by biotics." Also no hidden bonuses, such as phasic's 10x damage against shields/barrier. How about identifying which guns are projectiles and using numbers to represent their damage instead of a bar graph that goes off screen. I would also like it if guns information included stability and newtons of force and any multiplier or armor resistance for a weapon.

I'm all for not being able to put piercing mods on guns that can't pierce. And yeah I'm all for more information. The fact that I have to come here and depend on the community to give me the actual stats behind weapons is kind of silly. But I don't necessarily need information overload either. But more is always better than less when it comes to information.

That's not host griefing. That's part of being the host. If it's my room, it should be my right what is and isn't allowed in-room.
That's also why I advocate an "unrated game" feature that allows for custom file setups, i.e. zombie husk mode, where no credits are earned, but no consumables are exhausted.
I think the host should have more that they can do as the host.
Oh, and text chat is a must.

That is griefing. You are basically saying that anyone else that bought the game has no right to play it the way they want because your <Mr. Torgue>REASONS</Mr. Torgue> are more important than theirs.
I hope you enjoy your long and prosperous solo career in a MP environment with that kind of attitude.

I said if someone joins my room, I want to be able to impose my rules on my room. Not anyone else's. If someone wants to do something else with their own lobby and it fills up in no time, I'm cool with that. They don't have to play with me, and I don't have to play with them. What I do has no bearing on what they can do--there's plenty of other rooms they can show up in with their AIU. It's not as if it's hard to fill a game, even if I did exclude a few popular kits. I highly doubt that someone with an allowed kit is going to get mad and leave because something they're not using isn't permitted.
If I don't get that many people, then fine. I don't mind waiting for a more enjoyable game.

I'll echo Beerfish on this: Stability - first and foremost (the stability factor many games lately has been horrible...)
Co-op? - I would be down with this, if it could be implemented in a way that the host can still make decisions in their SP game (no cutscenes if co-op, or at least skippable cutscenes), and other players have no effect upon those outcomes; these decisions however could affect how the level plays out (successful: repaired bridge controls - can cross; unsuccessful: must find another route, face more enemies/hazards. Anyhow, 50/50 on this, would really have to bounce ideas around as to how this would work
Maps - Rather than the small maps in ME3MP, I like what DAIMP has done, using progressive maps. Basically, the team must complete certain objectives in each portion in order to move on. Maps not limited to ground sites, can be ships, space stations. Variations of day/night, seasons, weather types, hazards.
Team Synergy - Play style surrounding team work. Squad abilities used to complement each other (Evolve shows this concept quite well).
Vehicles/Turrets - Would love to include some use of vehicles in parts of mission, or for whole mission. Include things like turrets where a player or two must hold off/destroy large units (air/ground), while one is busy hacking, and another player keeping hacker safe from adds (example of team synergy). Also, air/space vehicular combat.
Customizable Armor - I would love the ability upgrade my armor for MP as in ME3 SP. Mix n match to provide the greatest benefit to you particular character, in particular missions.
Modes - Different modes of play. ME3MP was fun, but it was only horde mode.
Enemies - DAIMP has done a good job with adding animals. Would like to see animals playing more of a role. Would love it if the team had to fight some Thresher Maws n such (even if only a portion of a map: "great... team, in order to get to X facility we have to cover open ground on foot. stop smiling. there's Thresher Maws waiting for us along the way”).
Custom Builds – Titanfall did a good job of this. They added the ability to create custom builds for Pilot and Titan; used depending on game mode. I’d like the ability to create custom builds (abilities/armor/weapons/acc/upg) that would be appropriately used against certain enemies (as opposed to a ‘one size fits all’ mentality).
Host – Ability to choose map, faction, difficulty, weather variants.
Mission Creator – Not asking for ability to make maps, that would be cool however. I’d like to see BW get the community involved, even if something as simple as creating missions via simple scripting. The creativity of the community could churn out some awesome missions, and those accepted by BW could be pushed into the game.

Still think the idea doesn't have merit. Secondly, it would take forever to even set that lobby up, and you'd have to it every time you switch characters. Then what, if you went from tech to biotic, everyone in the lobby who had tech gets kicked? The game shouldn't be allowed to dictate what I play (store not giving me shotgun amps if I want to roll shotgun) and other players shouldn't be able to either. It's just the basic idea behind it that I find silly.
Again just because I searched for a game with a certain character doesn't mean that's what I'm going to play with. Plus, what if it gets to the point that everyone bans flamer classes on their host and my host isn't good enough to actually host? I can't play flamer ever? Just too many frustrating scenarios to give you what you want.

Nobody would be kicked in a preexisting game on those reasons. It wouldn't be biotic vs tech, it'd be on a kit by kit basis, and no one could be kicked after joining. They couldn't switch to an excluded kit, but if you exclude their kit after they join, they stay.
I wouldn't just want things for hosts either. For people searching, I'd want something that lets people exclude results in pug search filters. For example, "Platinum, NOT Giant, NOT Geth" for someone who doesn't want to do Firebase Giant and doesn't want to fight Geth.
I think I differ so much than most here in terms of opinion because I'm an AOEIII veteran, and that's what shaped my opinion of host rules. Most team games had an unspoken rule where you couldn't play Japan/India/Souix civilizations because they were unbalanced. Now that was pvp mind you, but I think this game turns into pvp as soon as one player decides it's a race for points and decides not to be a team player. Personally, I just really don't want it turning into PVP. And I can assure you that flamer would never get forced out like that, because even with the abnormally strident AOEIII 3v3random community, there were still plenty of 3v3 games where a Souix/Japan/India player would slip through the cracks and nobody objected. That was a small and pretty rigid community, and they couldn't enforce it. In nothing as nebulous as ME3 multiplayer would those rules be a problem.

Wait, you want to remove dodging from the game because you find it useless? Am I reading that correctly?

No not the dodging, but the combat roll from hard cover to hard cover. Or the "thing" the computer thinks I want to do whenever I'm trying to break cover and run.
