So I just started a new character, and was trying to decide what race and class to pick, and I was looking at the character cards.
Does anyone else wish that the elves looked like the character cards?
I think the design is fantastic. Maybe it's just me but I think the else's look a little to pointy eared human at the moment.

No. If they changed the design again it'd be too much like Dragon Age II's fish-people/na'vi. The elves' current appearance is the right balance between Origins and DA II.
Oh my God you're so right. Those cards look exactly like green Navi. It's uncanny.

Nah, I think elves should look like point eared humans. Particularly since Thedas elves aren't especially magical, at least not nowadays.
Also, I prefer them to wear clothes.

The design on the cards is actually very close to the design of elves in DA2 and some hate the way elves look in DA with passion and abandonment.

I think that's more true for the females. The males still have that horsehead fishy look. Err.. or something. Personally, I think their faces look like feet. Ugly feet. With the body of a starved POW.

I'd love to be able to create elves who look like the character cards. I'd love for them to look truly unique in the world of Thedas. I was a little sad when I couldn't, particularly considering their importance in the story. Oh well.

I honestly wish you could actually make them look like the character cards, but it would also be nice to have the option between the two in case you wanted to change it up other times or if people preferred not too. I think the female card looks stunning as an elf!

Not they don't. The Navi have feline noses and other feline features. The Navi are what the Quarians are supposed to look like (and the features you can see of Tali through the helmet as well as her hands, arms, legs, feet, torso all heavily imply that the Quairans look exactly like the Navi). The elf character cards are delicate and beautiful humanoids who look like Dryads of Nymphs which is exactly what elves should look like.
But the DA:I elves are way more elfy than the DA:O elves.
