I have a problem,
I just returned from the trip with Morrigan and got the questmarker to return the Grey Warden Items to Blackwall... but when I go to his shag, he is nowhere to be found... (I did not exile the Wardens)... I can choose him as party member...
Any suggestions or bug?
Is there a command console in this game (btw)?
Try fast traveling anywhere (just other side of Skyhold should work) and see if he reappears. This sometimes happens, but I'm not sure if it's a bug, or a feature.
If you can choose him as a party member, I think it's not his personal quest...
Unless - did you find an Inquisition messenger in Blackwall's place?

This. If it's the first time you would be speaking with him after dealing with the Wardens this is where he would usually be.
But, saying that if you have just been out with Morrigan and there is a quest marker....hmmm do you have the search glow appear inside the barn...if so try near his carving.

He says he can summon Blackwall as a party member, so he can't be gone.
Also, the OP would have done the tavern scene already, which he did not mention.

True, though I was thrown by the quest marker, I only ever see a quest marker for him after the tavern scene. Is why I mentioned it just in case.
