Not really. I'd say Javelin's better in general. BW is better on some kits, mostly on Infiltrators.

Nice HS multiplier, allows frequent power use, doesn't need phasic to OSK a lot of mooks (a better ammo can be used).

I'd agree if it wasn't totally dependant on whether you're hosting or not...

Can't pierce any cover, that alone loses out to BW, Widow or Javelin. And damage against bosses is pathetic, because you can't score double or triple hits.

I'd rather take kishock than jav or BW on non-infiltrators. I can always take a sidearm for piercing (if needed) and still have my power recharge better than javelin or black widow.

 

Furthermore, if someone joins mid-game when you equip all that additional weight penetration mods, the CD gets wrecked. 

 

Edit: Cover piercing doesn't make or break the weapon. It's a nice tool to have but there are so many other wonderful things that kishock offers - like not having to rely on phasic for OSKs. Versatility wise, kishock beats both those sniper rifles.

I don't use heavy mods on Javelin with CD sensitive kits for this very reason. It still penetrates quite far with just the basic piercing mod.

Black widow is the best IMO. Javelin is good as well but the black widow us just a little better. Dispatches mooks a little quicker and bosses at about the same ttk. I like the widow a lot as well.

No, Javelin.  I have BW third behind Jav, Kishock.  I don't care what you guys say the Kishock is amazing.

The scope alone makes the Jav better than a couple extra rounds, imo.

 

 

 

If you need the extra rounds... learn to snipe.
