Last year around Black Friday I spent an amount of money on graphics card that would have bought me a next gen console. This should last me for several years. However, I am honestly considering purchasing another (and maybe upgrading my entire system) at the end of this year, just so I can play games like Watch_Dogs maxed with 60 FPS. Just about every game I play right now, I downsample and max out. I've kept myself from playing two games I love, Final Fantasy XIII and XIII-2, because they're locked at 30 FPS and I can't stand it.
However, that doesn't mean I don't play games with poor graphics. I've bought Final Fantasy VII and VIII last year, two old games with painfully terrible graphics (and astonishingly poor framerate). Sitting on my desktop right now are Jet Set Radio, Uru, Mount and Blade Warband, Grow Home (highly, highly recommend this game btw), and Anachronox. All old games or otherwise games with very poor graphics.
So while I spend stupid amounts of money on graphics, and focus on them quite a bit (they're keeping me from playing a couple of games I love), I also play games that don't fit into those categories at all, that look quite poor.
Am I a graphics wh*re? What makes a graphics wh*re in your eyes?
