If not WAKE THE F*** UP!  Forget the weekly events, forget the no key bug forget the pots, forget the meanginless little skill problems, do something to fix the connectivity if you can't or won't do this forget about the leechers and give people exp like you do gold.  I am sick of playing for 20 minutes and getting sweet FA.

Go on BioWare - fix the internet !  :P

If this is their answer then I am truly out.  I have a new xbox, puchased for this game, i have good internet, cable modem, the game just sucks, it is FAR FAR FAR worse than anything in ME3MP the game sucks, horrible reliability, pure shi*.

This - its hard enough to find a game and when I do it's often a lagfest. Today I started up a game of ME3 and almost instantly the lobby was full. Why cant Bioware do the same with this game. They have gone several steps backwards from ME3

No connection problems here. The game is the opposite of ****. Bioware sucks because EA got their hands on it.

I am with you on pretty much any BW bashing. Hate the devolper, not the game.

I am totally flabbergastd that you have no connection problems.  What system do you play on?

OP you're not alone, I have the same issue at times, maybe not as frequently as you, but when it happens it's very frustrating.

Consider yourself lucky to start playing MP just one week ago and not since release, the game was much worse before, I'd say it was h*ll and not just a nightmare. However since patch 4 the game became more or less playable for me and lots of other people.

My suggestion is to go to EA AnswerHQ and post your spec/problems there, I heard it's more efficient way to report bugs.

I have no meaningful connection issues.

Recent Xbox One, decent internet.

I appreciate I am a sample of one, but I guess so is everyone else.

I'm not assuming others have my good fortune.

Equally those with issues should not assume others have their bad luck.

Which of us is the norm?

I guess neither of us can know.

   A one week sample is too small for calling the game unplayable. Sorry you don't like but it's a fact.

He's referring to technical issues that he's having, and asking for help determining what the problem could be. He shared the fact that he has only been playing a week to illustrate that he doesn't know if this is a chronic problem with the game, or something that is afflicting him, specifically.

In any case, his "opinion" isn't worthless, either way, but he wasn't sharing an opinion, he was stating a fact - that the game is currently unplayable for him - and seeking suggestions as to how to approach it.

@OP The suggestion I would make is to contact EA tech support using their "callback" option (this will produce the fastest results.) I would be prepared for the fact that, after a few troubleshooting steps, they will likely have you cycle the router, and then re-install DA:I if the problem persists.

Plenty of people find the game playable. A title like his deserves a response. How do you know his problems won't clear up? How can you know what kind of DL and UL speeds he has? ONE WEEK is too small a sample to call the game unplayable. Repeat last line to infinity.

Seen a lot of complaints on here from people that live in bone f Egypt, expecting to have fast connections to the rest of the world.

This shows exactly what people forget most of the time. Connection issues are usually from these things:

  1. Old modem
  2. Old router (or just a bad one)
  3. Bad internet connection
  4. Old drivers
  5. Location (as in where you are in the world compared to the game's host)

I'm not saying the game is perfect, you'll still get the "stuck can't move" loads, but at least by making sure you don't fall for those 5 mistake you'll at least be able to play 90% of the time without any problem.

I think you're melodramatically over-reacting to someone who was just looking for help solving a problem with the game.

Honestly experiencing a non-movement bug every 4-5 games is not bad at all. I experience the Black Screen of Death bug on most hosts - 100% chance if the host is European.
But what saves me and (presumably) dooms you, OP, is that I usually play in Private lobbies with friends. That means whenever I encounter a bug I can simply communicate one my friends then leave and rejoin. No loss of XP whatsoever.
If you encounter any bug (and there are many) while playing in a Public game, it is all over. You lose everything, including your patience, hope and faith.

So my suggestion is to friend request as many people as you can and play in Private lobbies only. This is beneficial not only to you, but to everyone. When you stand united, no bug in this game can ruin your experience.

Been having the same problems this past week.

Wobbly lag during a game.

Black screen with the loading icon going on forever.

Character stuck after loading into a game thats currently going.

The jittery wobbly type of lag i get the most of, like every third game.

I suspect that one of the side effects of the matchmaking system's tendency to look for the best ping options is that people with better connections and/or more local players will get slotted into games while players with slower connections and/or fewer local players will be more frequently stuck in loops searching for better lobbies that might not be there.

I think it might have been a mistake to have ping factored into matchmaking on an automated basis. While I will say that I tend to experience laggy games much less often than I do with ME 3 MP, I also have to spend a lot longer looking for a lobby, and have a much more limited pool of players that I'm likely to get PuGs with.

I have no idea what a better solution would have been. But I know that, in general, I have actually been having fewer problems finding lobbies in the last couple of weeks than I used to, and fewer cycles of "You have lost your connection to the game" while loading in to lobbies. Perhaps there are more people in my area playing than there used to be.

You may be right. To me, his post seemed to be blaming the game for something that could be caused by dozens of other factors. I'm a liittle touchy about this sort of thing because I see people blame BW for a lot of things that are connection related. I'm not happy at all with BW myself.

If I'm wrong, I apologize and suggest he reconsider the wording of future complaints.

I've played mp since the game has came out, usually on weekends though.

I have to ask... are you DanTheMan on PC that's near the top of the leaderboards? If so, I really have some questions for you...

If not, please disregard.  :lol:

Upload speed!!!!

A lot of people have shitty upload speed and host  games. I can connect to people on my friend list and have an awesome experience. Pubbing with randoms is a totally different experience,  3-4 games  out of 10 ending up in a stuck status or huge rubber banding back and forth. (PC here)

This is the reality with no dedicated server where the host becomes the center of all data transfer. If said person does not have adequate upstream and downstream to support all 3 other players  it lags or causes problem.

10 Mbps upstream is the minimum nowadays to stream on Twitch , YouTube  or host people for games.

I'm on a 60 Mbps download and 25 Mbps upload connection.

@op

I had that the first few games I played when the hosts were from overseas,

the first problem I had was the firewall on my pc being to strict with the game and denying the extra ports.

the second problem I had was to many virtual server links open in my router (for some reason every time I opened origin/dai it opened a new set of virtual servers without closing the last set ......)

I would suggest that in the first instance you check the game and origin both have full unrestricted access to the internet, and then check your router's NAT configuration (I use uPnP so it auto creates virtual servers as required) your router setup could be the same in which case you might find you need to periodically delte all those entries in order to have a better online experience.

also origin social (the game & chat servers) have been on orange instead of green all weekend which means there overloaded, so that also could be a huge problem ....

I have a lot of problems too on PC (Central-Europe, everything except Russia is well below 100 ms ping). When I play I open all required ports on my router, as stated somewhere on Origin support forum (way too much ports to open for a single game, but whatever), so that should not be a problem. I don't use uPnP as that is a security hole (easy to be abused remotely). The game is not totally broken, in fact once I find a good host I can play fine, but finding that host is troublesome.

Problems include, but are not restricted to:

- connection to lobbies through matchmaking system fails many times in a row;

- host migration fails;

- when I join an ongoing match can't move or rotate character (like OP), but I can use abilities;

- rubberbanding (host with bad connection?);

- slow movement, usually accompained with rubberbanding.

Sometimes I host games (usually when I get chosen after host migration), but people rarely stick. If I start a lobby by myself it takes forever until someone joins.

So yeah, looking at technical problems, MP is not all-right on PC.

many reasons that make people quit this game.

this is more bioware force people to quit the game

1. key drop bug cause people frustrate

2. auto close game issue  / unable to move at spawn point / can't open the menu to quit game , need to alt+f4

100% relate to connection issue . this is probably the poor net code inside get error , usually searching game .

and BW told people they have 2 seperate teams for MP and SP.. is MP only get 1 person to fix the bug?

3. poor looting system

4. RNG shopping

for me, there are other reasons

1. infinite promotion that get bonus.

more promotion you do , more easier the game is

and why you get to lv 20? because you want to go back to lv1 ?

2. enemies is not tactical

think about ME3MP enemies need to handle with specific tactic, banshee with barrier, phantom etc

these game ,mini boss like pride demon or whatever apart from the final wave boss can be killed within few seconds

3. not my expectation

all relate to the good game from me3.

i expect wave of enemies (not looting or go to next door). weekly balance change . new DLC character

DAMP give me none of them.

DAMP team obviously did not learn from the successful of ME3MP

even they are the same company

A lot of the blame the victim here ignores that, for me for exmaple,I've had basically zero issues on ME3MP and doing the drop in drop out on Borderlands works flawlessly and I never had issues with Destiny other than the general level of suck in that game. It isn't an connectivity issue, there are specifically issues around DAMP and connections and matchmaking.

I think you're overestimating how much information is sent when hosting a game.

Most people I know can host just fine with 1-2 mbps upload.
