Open all doors but don't break any pots.

You know, I played with some guy a couple of weeks ago and he threw out this theory also.
I am prestige around 490 and has been looking for a caliban for some time now but have been frustrated to still not have it until yesterday. I tried the no pots and doors only strategy and only after the 3rd game, a caliban dropped on the 2nd door!!!
I was so happy! Thank you the guy that told me about this no pots and doors only strategy.

The optimum group setup to ensure no pots are broken is a legionnaire, two assassins, and an arcane warrior with no chain lightning.

Where and what are you talking about?

I have been lurking this forum, in hope of news of a new DLC, since the game release and finally ran into a thread that I feel strongly enough about to post.

You are welcome to think what you want, but I have been doing this for about two weeks now with friends in private groups. I have been playing MP for over three months now, and just like Bearform, I have close to 500 prestige.
Before doing this method, I would rarely receive uniques from treasure rooms, and on top of that, if I did receive a unique it would tend to be a low level or a superb rune. with that said I am only missing three items to complete my arsenal of weapons: PBtM, Caliban, and Thunderstrike. Doing this for just two weeks, I have received at least twice as many uniques from treasure room doors and have received the Caliban and PBtM.
You may think this doesn't work, and that is completely fine by me, but this isn't the craziest idea that I have seen or heard about on the forums or in-game. And I have personally tested it and it works! Don't knock it before you try it.
PS: just because I didn't make some ridiculous spreadsheet to try and prove/validate this method, doesn't mean it doesn't work!

Make sure you have at least one of each class to make sure yourself able to open each door, and I would recommend choosing classes with that have single target attacks rather than AoE. IE: legionnaires, assassins, arcane warriors w/o chain lightning.
Go through each level making sure you DO NOT BREAK ANY POTS, and ensure you OPEN ALL DOORS. Usually by the fourth or fifth treasure room door, at least one person in the group has received a unique item. On average, by the end of the match we have noticed that two people out of the group get uniques, and on top of that they seem to be higher level from what we have noticed.
Put a group together and try it out and see before you troll this thread and claim it doesn't work. After doing it for 3/4 games, and if done properly, you will see what I am talking about.

Amongst the myriad of other ludicrous claims on this forum, (Items from doors are only lvl 15 and below, splitting up the group causes CTDs, Elementalist without barrier are viable, etc.) this claim by the OP is something that I have experienced and have positive results with.
Bioware refuses to be transparent with their mechanics of this game so we, the community, are left to create our own theories and charts with use of statistics to hopefully pry out some sort of pattern to their madness. I personally do not mind this, as this harks back to the old days of gaming before the internet provided all of the information about a video game. Back then rumors from friends and acquaintances alike are left to be trialed. This made the games even more enjoyable
My brother continues to try and revive Aerith to this date.
I tried reviving aerith. Gave up and used a cheat cartridge to get her back.

That doesn't make any sense when you consider it from a developer's standpoint. They put pots in the game to reward players at regular intervals and make sure players got something out of their effort to further their progress even if they don't complete every zone. Why would they put in some secret mechanic that rewards players for not accepting those rewards? I think its RNG skewing people's views.

Same thing with opening chests in harder difficulties. I once tried it in private perilous lobby and got good stuff. Now I do it every time cause I can't risk it, even though it's hardly true that it would yield better rewards.
As for the pots I'd love it if there were varying amounts of random gold every now and then. For me right now it's not very lucrative to break them, but a chance for 50 gold in a pot every now and then would make me break all.

Pretty sure they wouldn't do it on purpose.. a lot of weird things happen because they are simply glitches. This may be one as well.

I've gotten a level 20 unique bow (kept) and a level 9 unique sword (recycled). I will always open doors from now on.
