I'm surprised the meaning of humans looking up to an elven woman can be underappreciated here of all places.

You should never be surprised at anything negative related to MaZ.

Don't flatter yourself, I wasn't including you.

A female elf being the actual messiah is one step above that, wouldn't you say?

There is surprise about her being a woman? I never noticed.

I only mentioned her gender because of the character in the picture I posted.
The main point still is the relationship between humans and elves.
But do tell, is MAZ a famous troll here? You made it sound like there's a certain reputation.

The Herald isn't that person.
As much as I'd love to flaunt the Maker as the creator of the Anchor it isn't so.
So that glowing pock mark is about as holy as fireball.
It is of the Maker as all magic is said to be, but not directly.

It's my abbreviation for Master Warder Z_. But he is, yes.

Oh, hardly sent by the Maker. The Maker doesn't exist. The Inquisitor is real.

You make less sense then usual today.
One cannot be the chosen of a God without a God.
That's how it works.

...did people miss the whole venerate Shartan thing a page ago?
Even I think there are some respectable elves.

And I acknowledged him with a response. Amateur mistake, won't happen again.
But to keep this thread going, I have a question for everyone here.
How trustworthy is Briala? At least, when it comes to her concern for the elvhen.
Is there a true benefit to granting her power as Gaspard's shadow?

She is tricky, I do not trust her. She seems to be altruistic, but I think she's just manipulating the masses. It is very convenient attitudes even more if we take on account her case with Celene. I do not know how far she is interested in helping the elves(even with that final).

Mechanically? No, but that's the case with all of them. Storywise? She aims to make major improvements for the elves, but there are rumblings of dissent because people think things might be happening too quickly.
Personally, while I'm all for radical change, I'm leery of pinning the hopes for this change on continuous lies, deception, and the malleability of a stubborn power-hungry bastard.

The elven people deserve someone better than her. She's willing to sacrifice anyone, even fellow elves, to get what she wants. She can rot for all I care.

Her flaw isn't sacrificing elves. Sometimes leaders have to sacrifice their people. It's that she seems to disregard her lives, viewing them almost like currency to spend.

Briala might have much in common with Vivienne in that it's hard to feel empathy for your own kind when you're looking from a privileged spot.
Definitely not mechanically. It's only expected that we wouldn't witness the results of our choices in game. Maybe in DA4, who knows.Mechanically? No, but that's the case with all of them. Storywise? I wouldn't worry about her methods, if we think about how Leliana assists the Inquisition in most of the time. The question is whether this issue is in Briala's to do list at all.

This type of manipulation of government is uniform to failure, in my opinion, in a short time the nobles will find very convenient elves rising and so they will put an end to Briala.
