I don't know about the god bit, but at least Abelas would suggest that Tevinter didn't do anything of worth. But at the same time, like Solas, he is a bit of a racist. So it's hard to say just how much of what he doesn't attribute to elves is appropriate.

I don't think Abelas likes anyone outside the Temple of Mythal. I think, if pressed, he would hate his own people for what happened to his goddess and to their empire. He would hate ancient humanity for taking advantage of the situation the elves created. And he would barely consider modern humans and elves worth discussion at all.
