Out of these, I don't believe a romance would be possible even if she appeared... I might be wrong, but it seems that there is a policy of not making a character romanceable in two different games of the series. Though it could be, of course, that I'm just overthinking things...That would have been great. An intelligent member of the People with knowledge about the Eluvians from her own research of the lore and information she extrapolated from the shard. Her personal story arc could have been tied into Briala's Orlesian network storyline and the Eluvian of the Crossroads.
Given her pro-Dalish outlook, she would have been unique among the companions, advisers, and minor characters.
The elves who she lead could have found sanctuary with the Inquisition as well - a potential myriad of Andrastian, Qunari, and perhaps even Dalish.
For the Dalish Inquisitor, it would have been nice to explore a romance with another elf who liked Dalish culture, and could relate to being an outsider among a sea of shemlen Andrastians.

That seems to be the case, but I still think it would have been worthwhile to allow the Dalish protagonist to romance Merrill. It would've been interesting to get involved with someone who genuinely understood your beliefs, culture, what it feels like to be a member of a disenfranchised race, and who may want a future among the People.

I would agree with you, but every time I start thinking those thoughts I suddenly unforget the dwarves. And then I start feeling so selfish for wanting a viable romance option for a Dalish Inquisitor...That seems to be the case, but I still think it would have been worthwhile to allow the Dalish protagonist to romance Merrill. It is because I could see Merrill wanting to help the Inquisition probably more so than the other DA2 companions (Aveline is busy being guard captain, Isabela's off pirating, Sebastian is ruling Starkhaven, Anders would stay away if he's alive).
I think Fenris would be a good fit too...he'd enjoy killing Venatori if anything.
Fenris and Cassandra would hit it off.
I put Velanna and Merrill and my Surana and my female Mahariel as being involved in my Cadash's world-state, alongside Lavellan.
The more Elves the better, especially when they're working with Dwarves. Elves and Dwarves forever

Was that the elf in Crestwood Keep? That voice ![]()
My Lavellan inky would have loved to meet Merrill!! Varric must introduce us some time. Seriously, he has to see the potential. Then we could nerd out about Dalishness together! Sera and Solas are awesome elves but no use for that. And Merrill must miss someone to talk with about Dalish stuff, too. Someone who knows something about the subject, that is.
I mean, If I had no one I could share my ramblings about weirdo German studies stuff with, I would feel terrible.
If Bioware doesn't do it I'll have to use my headcanon.

So Elven slaves do an alliance with the Dalish and city elves in the world Fereldan the Inquisition and Orlais, against Tevinter, who would win?

Not sure if this would be possible, but let's pretend it is. Tevinter has suffered many exalted marches and remained standing, even Orlais or Ferelden, I think not overthrow them. Maybe a rebellion of the elves in Tevinter help but I do not know. I think not, for the lack of reason to invade Tevinter and ... Tevinter would probably make some allies not to be swallowed by this attack.

The Tevinter Imperium. After defeating these barbarians the Imperium expands south to occupy those lands participating this foolish attack. A lot of new slaves.

Tevinter's like a cockroach infestation; you think you've solved the problem; but it just pops back up like a demented jack in the box.

Tevinter and the Qun: The Bromance that Sets the South Ablaze? ![]()
Regardless, if Tevinter stood alone, I'm willing to bet that they'd survive. The conflict would go on for quite a while and become of the uglier wars in Theodosian history. But I can't imagine the Southern Alliance remaining unified. What would unify them?
Now, if the Qunari and the South both invaded at the same time, then Tevinter would fall.
Except Minrathous. ![]()
I would love to see an old, blind Antivan merchant-prince trick Inquisition forces and Templars into re-enacting the Fourth Crusade, resulting in the only ever occupation of Minrathous.

Without Orlais, defintly Tevinter wins...
From what we know there seem to be three major military powers in Thedas: Tevinter, Nevarra and Orlais. And then there are Qunari. Tevinter and Qunari are probably a bit stronger than the Orlais and Nevarra pair, so if we "vanished" Qunari, Tevinter would probably be able to beat Nevarra or Orlais. But if either of the two were to find some allies? Or managed to incite some massive slave revolt in Tevinter?
Orlais unwilling to join the alliance wouldn't be a problem. Orlais stabbing the alliance in the back - well, that would be another story. But if Orlais remained neutral? Nevarra + Ferelden + Inquisition + slave revolt + Dalish would crush Tevinter (though they would likely have problems with the capital). The problem is that Orlais is a filthy opportunist so nobody could assume that they would really remain neutral. So were the Qunari to disappear, we would end up with Orlais, Tevinter and Nevarra looking at each other menacingly but unable to really do anything since any of the three trying to seriously go on the offensive would be exposing its back to the third party.
