The Hawke gender bug is infuriating. At least 40 hours trying to fix it, with no results, and hundreds of hours just to get to that point in the game to find out, yea, it didn't work. Again. Even though everything synched and time-stamped alright. Supposedly.

Mne showed up as a Mage for some reason.. Then, my very next play through, with the same exact world state, has him (correctly) as a Rogue... Which is minor considering how Morrigan, and Leliana referred wto the Warden, Hero of Ferelden..

Morrigan said she parted on bad terms, with "her".. When in fact "HE", had  a baby with her, and survived the arch demon battle...

Leliana said "HE" was dead, just a few hours later!

There were a few other pretty bad plot mistakes from the world state.. But those really erked me! I checked the  Keep and it was correct, the game just wanted reading it properly..

Did you load the PT state to double check?

My male Hawke is the correct class (a rogue) but in my head-canon he was the Captain of Archers at the Battle of Ostagar.

Basically, he was the Robin Hood of Kirkwall.

It irritates me no end to see him fighting with twin daggers. My Hawke never used daggers except for the murder knife!

There should be an option in the Keep to specify which weapon Hawke preferred.

Did you patch? I have run several playthroughs to that point and have had my Hawkes' gender, choices and class be correct. But I got the game a couple of months late so some patches were already out.

my female dual dagger rogue hawke was exactly as i specified in the keep.

my elf-mage hero of ferelden that had a child with morrigan and romanced leliana was also imported just as he should have been.

are you sure you didn't make any mistakes in the keep? i found it to be a bit confusing, especially when you choose your hero for hawke, hero of ferelden, and so on.

That sucks. My Hero and Champion showed up fine, though Morrigan claims she and the Hero parted on bad terms. I didn't see it that way, but maybe that's how the game sees it or how Morrigan saw it.

I checked on Twitter and apparently the Keep was down for a bit yesterday due to some problems.  Maybe try going to the Keep's site, changing an option and back, then importing again?  I hope that helps.

I've tried all that, to no avail. I'm going through a new playthrough (My 15th?) of DAO and DAA, followed by DA2, and I hope this will all be patched by the time I get to DAI again!! I'm just waiting for Mass Effect 4, which I hope will be like ME 1-3, and not some horribly maimed version thereof. I've put many thousands into Bioware products, so I do have some hope for them as yet!

At least rogue Hawke sometimes uses a bow. My warrior Hawke used greatswords exclusively and yet has a longsword and shield at all times in Inquisition. It's especially odd since warrior Hawke is depicted with a greatsword in the keep and uses one in the opening of DA2, so it's closer to the "iconic" weapon of warrior Hawke.

I know this thread has been quiet for a while now, but I was wondering where might be a good place to go to pester the Keep programmers to add a tile for a warrior or rogue Hawke's weapon type. I haven't found a way to keep my Hawke exclusively using his daggers, and never swapping to a bow. It is a bit frustrating to see my dedicated slice-and-dice-ninja randomly swapping to a bow and becoming a skilled archer despite no prior experience. I suspect at this point, it's probably just "oops." I think I may have to go back and change my Hawke build into a hybrid that uses daggers for some quests and the bow for others. Then I won't be so worried about a programming error ruining my immersion.

I wasn't even aware of this bug. The Inquisitor's voice bug was a huge deal for me.

It's kind of ridiculous with rogues, because other than the random switching between a bow and daggers, mundane Hawke breaks out a greatsword at the fade portion of the game, provided you choose that character. As if I had enough reasons to avoid making that choice.

Same. It was so weird going to the Western Approach and seeing my double dagger Rogue Hawke using a bow. She never used a bow in my DA2 PT. At least she used her daggers in Adamant and the Fade, but that time in the WA bothered me. =/

That at least did fit my own rogue Hawke. She often switched between daggers and bow depending on the situation and how bored she (I) was with the other weapon from using it too much.

My female archer Hawke switched to daggers when I first saw her in Crestwood. I reloaded to before I ran up to her, and when I ran up to her again she had a bow. So I saved it there and went ahead. She kept the bow after that. But this happened again once or twice at Adamant. Again, reloading made her switch to her bow. The only time it stayed on daggers was, oddly enough, after beating the Nightmare aspect but before making the choice of who stays. She then had daggers after escaping as well. But, oh well. I agree that weapons should be selectable in Keep. I also recommended this through the Keep feedback option.

My warden stabbed her and left her for dead, apparently they had a baby and he's a wonderful father. At least the kid din't show up but damn that broke immersion for me.
