This is like saying a Paragon and choose Renegade sometimes, to me. Identity can be a mix, but the game has RP alignments to things regardless.

 

I could play D&D and be a Chaotic Evil Paladin. Whoh! How does that work? lol

Honestly I think they should just get rid of the whole alignment thing.  ME 2 in particular almost forced the player to go to extremes with it (if the player cared about keeping everybody loyal).  "Damnit I don't really want to shoot this guy but later on I need to talk down Miranda and Jack  and then I need to make sure I keep both Tali and Legion loyal later on so I better put a bullet in this guy".

But mostly when I see subversions of it.

 

That's what I want in the next game. Not an elimination of them.
