First of all, I have to express my sincere gratitude for some devoted person I don't know. Yes, friend, I have no idea who you are but I'm grateful that you reported like all my older questionable posts. You made me realize that neither the making feedback no being creative does count here as much as fangirlisms.
Second thing is that I ask everyone stay nice and happy around the post. No negativism required. Your hating towards someone being critical isn't needed either, thank you.
Now to the matter.
Well, I really want to introduce to you the card game I've accidentally found in the Keep - The Last Court.
You would laugh, I think, if I say it has a better story than the actual DA:I ![]()
But it definitely does.
It's hard to tell the details because those are actually spoilers, but the sum is - you're playing as a one of two possible personalities for Marquis de Serault (Orlais noble) and you're resolving all types of crisises happening here and there. All those crisises are divided into three 'themes' - Peril (human-origined dangers, mostly lowcuts), Twilight (supernatural dangers) and Rumors of Revolution (uprising people demanding freedom).
Tons of stories, tons of choices that actually MATTER in the resolve of each and every case. Even repetitive ones aren't painful to encounter as bonuses are, well, weighting.
Then there goes the Forest, which is the part of the main plot AND a source for farming resources. Anything you're going to need doesn't come in repetitive grinding, it's more of the matter of chance and careful character building.
Then there goes a need to choose between Freedom and Dignity. Both are defined by Rulership as a character stat, but each of those grant different bonuses, a.k.a. access to councillors, random events and even the outcome of the story cases.
Now I stand puzzled.
How Bioware failed this much at making Inquisition when they made a brilliant card game? With writing and all, even the Mysterious Lord and the Lady of the Forest, which strongly refer to the Golden Host of Lothlorien? With LI that isn't an immovable kissable object in a fancy dress? With councillor system I like way more than the one in DA:I?
...
That's it. I can't get it.
