Ok, did a second Elementalist build and this time picked up Wall of fire based on some comments on the board. I'd avoided this SP because with large open spaces i figured it'd be useless (i might have overrated the AI's ability to go around) so didn't gravitate to it in MP. Still don't know about SP but MP this thing rocks because it is nothing but doors and corridors. I can't say how much of a, literally, game changer it has been. On threatening prior to adding this to my repertoire it was relatively rare with PUG's to win a match it is now the norm. The only problem seems to be people who don't understand to stay BEHIND the wall of fire.
Wall of Fire...Golly this is Good!

It's so frustrating when you have a nice chokepoint set up and your party runs through the wall of fire instead of letting the enemies come to you ![]()

1600% weapon damage, long lasting AoE fear checkpoint, and a duration almost as long as its cooldown, its one of the best (non focus) abilities in MP, if not the best.

Nah it's awesome! Just don't use it as a barrier, drop it right on top of a group of enemies instead
Or better: Cast it alongside an ice wall and watch the enemies turning themselves into toast while trying to go around the ice.
(Very good spell to introduce yourself to a Venatori camp

wall is cc... mine is for spike... chose what you want... i like the mine... since you just can stand in the middle of 12 mobs and nuke the shi* outa them w/o getting touched.
if i would play lots of pug matches.. maybe non stop firewall is the way to go.. i guess alot of reapers and criters are happy when there is a fearwall ![]()
