So we have threads for specific games, but I was looking for something where we could just mention what we've been playing, maybe give a brief description and our opinion of it or something. Might also introduce us to some new games!

Mostly just Fallout Equestria the PNP and Star Wars d20, but I'm going to start Hell on Earth: Reloaded soon, so that should be fun. Hell on Earth: Reloaded is kinda like Fallout, but with magic and set in an alternate history where the CSA survived the American Civil War.

I'll admit I made this thread because I wanted to say this: Tomb Raider 2013 is great!
Recently got this game. I was under the impression that it was like Uncharted, and I was also under the impression that Uncharted was straight combat gameplay (which I do not know). This game was on sale though so I said why not. It's pretty awesome. Gameplay has quite a bit of exploration, and a little bit of puzzle-solving. And a significant amount of combat can be avoided with stealth. Basically it's a semi-open adventure game with a heavy plot focus. Feels a bit like AC in a way.
Also recently played Life Is Strange, an episodic game from DontNod, the people who made Remember Me. It's a game about this girl who for some inexplicable reason gains the ability to reverse time, and thus can go back in time short amounts and reverse poorly made decisions, or re-make them with more info and such. Thus far there's been the teensiest amount of puzzle solving, but it's mostly just going around and talking to people and making choices. It's set in this--I'm honestly not sure if it's high school or college, but there's a culture there of the in-kids and stuff which is interesting to me (I went to a private school that had none of that, and I wasn't involved with any groups at college). Plus it's written from a female perspecive which is interesting to me because, maybe I'm an idiot, but it seems like girls (at least in this game) can be way more dramatic and catty than guys and that's pretty entertaining. They've done a moderately okay job developing the school as an environment, and it looks like they will with the town too (though it hasn't been showcased much). Plus there are some intriguing sinister elements to the game. Lip sync is just about the worst I've ever seen for a game ever, and really unacceptable in a time of procedural lip-syncing, but I honestly didn't notice it that much. All-in-all I like this game a lot.
I also just finished Mars: War Logs, an action-RPG. Set on Mars, big surprise, and the factions revolve around water, which is interesting. Combat is pretty fun, kind of like The Witcher 2 but your character doesn't spin like a top, it's a bit slower paced. A teensy bit noir-ish in atmosphere, everything's dirty and grimy. The environments kind of suffer for it, but for the most part it works. It's kind of interesting in that the story's kind of told from the point of view of a character who isn't the protagonist--a kid who gets sent to a prison camp and rescued by an older guy who you play as. And the third act of the game pulls a TW2--you have a choice between two different groups, and whichever one you go with completely changes the story. The story in general is pretty decent, doesn't fall into the Bioware-esque "I am evul!" villain areas, characters are pretty believable. Voice acting is kind of terrible, though I honestly did not mind. Pretty good game though.

I'm about 3/4 done with Serious Sam, and it's seriously terrible. I had 10 times more fun with Brutal Doom or even Painkiller. Blech.

The Order: 1886
But the game is so boring, there are more cutscenes than gameplay. AWESOME GRAPHICS btw

Just like last year, majority of old games I have yet to play or replaying old favorites. This year like last year has not been that good.

Yeah 2013 Tomb Raider was cray cray, I enjoyed that one a lot.
I've been playing a lot of A Realm Reborn which is sort of a straightforward MMO in some ways but it has a feeling that reminds me of earlier Final Fantasies. It's like Rebels versus the Empire kind of but they're are these 3 different city states in the beginning which have different and unique flavors to them. The whole experience seems more like an adventure, less processed, more you come into this world as a journeyman rising to a hero of legend sort of affair, as opposed to the auto-win situation in a lot of other games.
I've also been playing this thing called Pandora's Tower for Wii which I would describe as like an anime Zelda game. It came out in like 2011 but was only released in the U.S. in 2013. There's also a lot more variety and stuff. It's been cool.

I've heard that ARR is a great single-player experience, like TOR. That true?

Mount and Blade: Warband and Crusader Kings 2.
I have a hundred hours recorded for each but I'm far from done.

Anyway, I've been playing Persona Q for so long it's embarrassing. I've never played a game for almost two months without even beating it once before.

Not a CRPG fan?
TW3 comes out in May and PoE comes out in March. Only two CRPOGs that look good to me. Anything else is either a JRPG or a Japanese game(which means I'll have to wait till localization)
So yes overall this year so far has been poor just like last year. Now when patch 5 of DAi comes out I'll probably play a DAi pt again but eh I'll rather play old games, watch anime and read manga while I wait for the small amount of games this year that look interesting to me. On the plus side, this allows me to save up for a PS4 and New 3DS.

Have you heard Rockstar has delayed the releasing of GTA V (PC) to polish it more? That's a professional move. Not like idiots who release their faulty games at the said released date.
