I'm currently playing through Far Cry 4 right now. Pretty good game overall, but I can't wait till Arkham Knight drops this month.

I've been playing Hearthstone, and my time with it has only made me realize how much I absolutely detest it and loathe it with all my being. Imagine Magic the Gathering, but with about 1/5 the complexity and about 1/3 the strategy. At least it's free-to-play and you can unlock cards without spending money.... Except the cards you start off with are ****ing horrible. 

 

So, basically, your options when starting our are to suck it up and play some games to level up and unlock cards (where you'll probably lose most if not all of the games you play because the matchmaking in that game is terrible and pits obvious newbies against people who have wallet warrior decks), or just fork over money to buy card packs and pray to RNGesus that you don't get **** cards, because the balance in that game is beyond atrocious.

 

Then there's the bosses. Some of the bosses are fine and not really a problem, but some of them are completely and totally retarded, since they all have special abilities and effectively cheat. The player is confined to picking 1 deck tied to a class per game, while the bosses can use class-exclusive cards available to multiple classes. Example: a player using a Paladin deck can't use Warlock cards, but Majordomo Executus can use Shaman, Mage, and Warrior cards all at once. Bosses can also have as many copies of cards as they please, while players are restricted to 2 copies in a deck. The player can only have 2 copies of minion A while a boss can have 5 or 6 copies of minion A. It doesn't help that in a boss battle, the player always goes first while the boss goes second, and going second gives you a huge advantage in the form of an extra card and an extra mana token, so you can use higher-costing cards before your opponent.

 

Really, there's nothing like being near the end of a match that looks like it's going to end with you winning, only for the boss to summon 5 copies of a minion with 8 attack and 8 health for no cost, effectively wiping our your field and winning the game in 1 turn (since 5x8 = 40, and you only get 30 health in total before you lose).

Got it on sale for ps4. It's actually not that bad. It's good really. Almost done with the story. While there are many things it could improve on ( like catching the criminals too early, pisses the **** out of me ) I'm ubisoft made it a permanent franchise and I'm looking forward to the sequel. Now let's hope they don't AC it

It doesn't matter how good you are. If play 3vs3 and your allies defeat badly, the chances of you saving the day is below 20%. If you play 1vs1 then the one responsible for your defeat is you yourself!

But I was too sleepy I colonized Mars without thinking, then I realized I should change the map's settings for a better galaxy.

I'm so sad that there is no Arceans (my favorite race).

After a shipping delay, my copy of Witcher 3 should be here tomorrow. So I was trying to play Assassin's Creed Brotherhood on PS3 in the meantime.... but why is the frame rate so bad!? I don't understand. I've had to stop playing it because it gave me a migraine.

It runs perfectly fine in places like tombs and buildings and smaller spaces, but when I'm trying to run around Rome or I'm being chased... it's like watching a montage. Anyone else played this and had that problem?

 

I don't think it's my PS3 because it runs every other game flawlessly.

 

Just playing Mega Man 2 on Wii U Virtual Console tonight.

Trying to speed through Witcher 3, playthrough #2. Finishing up some missed missions and I've been pretty pleased. Save Import changes haven't been massive, but some of the In-Game C&C has though. May do Call of Cthuhlu: Dark Corners of the Earth thanks to Based Knight Crusty gifting it.

Good lord is the grind from level 4 to 5 in Darkest Dungeon a slog. Spent two hours making barely any progress. I was having resolution issues with Serpent in the Staglands stemming from my VSR 1440p settings so I'm putting that on hold for now.

Running around squeezing all the exp I can from the craft masters in Khorinis in Gothic 2 and I reinstalled KotOR for an idea I have. Also have an idea for an Avernum: Escape From The Pit play through, but baby steps. Darkest Dungeon first.

All this hubbub about Fallout 4 also has me tempted in reinstalling NV and applying a **** ton of mods for a Legion or House playthrough.

This went into open beta a few days ago.

I only have about 11 hours in it so far since picking it up the day before yesterday(?) Anyway I'm actually really enjoying it. It's face paced and the loadout/class system is pretty good. So far my favorite merc is Vassili (Sniper) and I like Skyhammer (Assault/Riflemen?) a lot as well. It's objective and team oriented and for only playing match made games, most of my teams seem to be playing the objective 90% of the time. We may not win but so far most of the teams I get into at the very least try. You get two free mercs at the start: Skyhammer ( your basic soldier/assault class) and Aura( medic/support). Right now there are about I think 9 or ten mercs released and 3 of those are on rotation for free at any given time for a week I think. So you'll always have 5 mercs to choose from when you start. The loadout system is pretty good. Instead of buying individual weapons you get loadouts. Which are Primary, Secondary, And melee weapons. Along with perks in numbers correlating to the rank of the loadout. You get them either by buying them directly or in case drops which happen fairly often as you complete missions and level up. The credits acquisition doesn't seem to bad to be honest. I mean obviously you can buy mercs and loadouts for real money, but grinding credits doesn't feel like I'm being punished for not spending money, yet. I say yet because even though right now it isn't P2W the game is being published by Nexon NA and they're pretty well known for nickel and dime-ing players. Over all I've been enjoying it and I can see myself playing it fairly regularly provided it doesn't go the usually F2P to P2W route many a F2P games go.

Of the flash games, it's one of the better ones. Not much in terms of gameplay, but the darker atmosphere put in an 8-bit style is pretty memorable.
Think I found the game way back via Observer.

The Stand-Alone games tend to be the more impressive ones - if you haven't tried them yet, I'd highly reccomend em'. I still keep the full list on le profile.
