Beat my first live opponent in the Arena, which means picking a custom deck and seeing how it plays out. He threw out a lot of minions with very little attack power, so I focused on either getting high health cards and wholloping on his hero, or using hero moves to get to him directly. Eventually I finished him off and savored the first victory. It may be streamlined goofy nonsense, but it's fun streamlined goofy nonsense.

Watch Dogs, after playing it on PC now on the PS4. Unlike many others I widely enjoyed the game and when I saw it for only 18€ in the PSN store the choice was quickly made. Trying to get my first platinum trophy:)

Sniper Elite 3. Fun for a few missions, but then gets pretty boring.

PoP '08 was underrated imo. I mean the combat and story were kinda meh. But the platforming and cel shading was good. And it was a decent break away from the others.
IMO, it's pretty good. The Combat is one of the best. Ofc, just my opinion.
I'm still waiting for a sequel, though ![]()

Oh I'm not saying I think the combat is bad, I just think it's a little bit lack luster. At least to me. The game is good overall.
I'd be up for one!

I played and finished it last night and this morning. It's a first person puzzle platformer, similar to Portal. It was a pretty short game, but all in all fun. I'd like to have more levels actually, it'd be nice if they could release some sort of Workshop support for it. The puzzles themselves aren't very difficult, but challenging enough that it doesn't feel cheap or too easy. And I got it for 19 cents off Steam so.... It was worth it.
Also I've put a couple of hours into Besiege

R
This is a actually a pretty cool game. It's a physics based siege-engine builder. Right now it's in Early Access on Steam and only has about 15 levels open and a sandbox mode. Not very much, but enough to give you a good taste. And the fact that everything is re-playable and you can build anything (well, almost anything) you want by your own design makes it pretty sweet IMO. You can actually save and share your war machines. Which is great because someone made the Bat-mobile from the Dark Knight trilogy. The camera controls are a little awkward for me when it comes to finally setting your builds loose, but you get used to it. I also wish they would expand the building area. It's big enough for most things. But I want to make a Trojan Horse or something one day!
I will say, learning to drive your creations is a little awkward.

Bought Elite: Dangerous, blew up a dozen times trying to launch and land my ship, then I got out into the galaxy and overshot everything by lightyears, then died in a fight. Baby steps. ![]()

I'm playing Batman Arkham Origins and I don't see why this game gets such a bad rep. I know it really doesn't do much new to the series but I don't see that as a negative. Same mechanics, same combat but the story is great and I'm having fun playing it. Heard complaints that the shock gloves are game-breaking but compared to the batmobile in Knight, they're barely even game-changing. I guess as a sequel to Arkham city it's a bit disappointing but as a game on it's own I'd give it an 8/10.

Ori and the Blind Forest.
I love this game, I really do. It's THE game. It's the game of games! Okay maybe that's going too far, but the game rocks. The art, the music, the atmosphere, heck even the story.
But holy hell was I not expecting it to be this challenging! I admit I'm really bad at games, and platformers for what ever reason are my kryptonite most of the time. But this game.....this fking game man. I need an angry nap after playing more than an hour of it honestly. And the Ginso Tree seems to be my crux right now. But then I just go to the main menu and listen to that amazing menu theme and I'm fine. lol

FTFY

Don't get me wrong, I like the M&M series and 6 especially was great... but looking at that cover versus looking at the game, I would feel slightly misled.

Lately i have been going through Morrowind and Oblivion, finished up yesterday and i am starting Skyrim today. I usually do a Elder Scrolls lorerun in my summer vacation. Got a full backstory for my characters and using very few mods, just fixing small annoyances. I want the full vanilla experience of the games and i have to say they are still all holding up pretty well.

Finished Volgarr the Viking. It appears to be the long-misplaced child of Castlevania and Super Ghouls N’ Goblins, with most of the difficult trappings that come with those two. 6 Stages, 12 Checkpoints, and about 240 deaths later, it was a fairly satisfying and nostalgic ride. NES Retro Indie games have been done to death at this point, but not so much for the well-renowned SNES console.
So what does Volgarr do differently? It has a ranged weapon with infinite ammo, and throws away the nonsense of yesteryear I.e. adding a timer, lives, continues, etc. Most stages fit with classic designs, though the 5th stage came with creative designs that would be likened to Storm Eagle’s stage in Mega Man X. The soundtrack sounds like it wants to be God of War. The only story that shows up is right at the ending, and doesn’t take itself too seriously - the same could likely be said for Mario 3. Naturally for a game like this, story isn’t a prerequisite. If you’re looking for a classic 2D brawling challenge that makes you practically memorize the level, this is your jam. I’m not saying it’s like Dark Souls…but yeah, it’s like Dark Souls.

As mentioned above, your abilities in the level determines how many keys you can obtain, which can unlock more levels which explore 4 different themes - Grasslands, Dungeons, Urban, and Super-Wacky-Science-Level. My favorite. The art style is, well, stylish. The soundtrack really helps add to DustForce, lending a relaxing set of electronic tracks that heighten the mood. If you need a game with Chill & Challenge, look no further.
Bought the Tomb Raider Collection. Ehhhhhh….
On one hand, going through the games added some perspective to that game design’s evolution that’s visible both in its reboot years later, and popular titles like Uncharted. Tomb Raider II in particular added cinematics, in-game camera use, chase/dangerous scenes, vehicle use and other bits that weren’t in the original.
…And then the bad. It’s showing its age in many ways, combat worst of all. Most melee combat isn’t too horrible outside the original. Unfortunately many creatures are either much faster than you, or hard to hit(Bats) which can make it a bit frustrating. TR2 has been the absolute worst, with enemies that can sometimes shoot you *through* walls, and during the venice levels this is absolutely abysmal. Being in the water with them on land means you’ll go from full to half health by the time you’ve finished them off.
The best strategy for range seems to be getting close-by and doing a roll to get behind them. Shoot a few times, repeat. With a severe lack of health packs, it was an absolute pain getting through some of this. Objectives can be very bare bones, grab an item on one side of the level to open up another. I’d personally rather recommend the original Legacy of Kain and it’s follow-ups. You’ll get a similar formula with a much better story and less scathing enemies to deal with it. Not entirely sure I want to finish the collection, we’ll see.
