Humans are not cattle/domesticated animals. I think this Western capitalism has a lot to do with the new European culture in general, and then scaling it to the world, crippling those who do not do it, or need to do it.

Generalization is fun isn't it?

Allows you to overlook so much stuff!

Also why on Earth haven't you gotten it through your head Political discussions aren't allowed on this board?

Because they aren't. That's why most of your threads get locked or removed.

I think the truth is that Africans and Europeans, or Westerners are two opposites, a yin and yang. Westerners (yes, including their so called "black" citizens) are people of the flesh, while Real Africans are people of the spirit. Africans "live in the Spirit", which overwhelms them, and their "escape" from that is the "Flesh", (naturally), hence why they are so happy in what you, and others call "horrible" conditions. Westerners "live in the Flesh", and are overwhelmed by it, or what they call "reality", and their escape from that is "Unreality", they can't return to the spirit which they "left", but they do something else. A lot of Westerners can't tap into it natural, and have a weak, and unhealthy connection to it, hence the drug use, and other strange "unnatural" stuff. (I mean no offence).

I've spent a significant amount of time working and volunteering in East Africa - the pursuit of money is just as great and far more obvious there than "the West."

The pursuit of power, whether it be money, leadership, women or whatever has been an ever present part of (mostly, I suppose/fear) male behaviour since we were climbing trees. The game has changed, but the behaviour beneath is very much the same.

It can be ugly, violent and the cause of great mysery - but it exists in equal proportions in every society in the world. I can see why you would want to distance yourself from it, but it isn't that easy.

Look at the Fonz, for example. He had no money but he had power and status, because he was so god damn cool. Does that make him one with the spirit? No, it just means the currency of value didn't happen to dollars in that instance.

Huh, so he replies to me, removes it, then out of nowhere makes a big paragraph that has nothing to do with what I said.

Yeah, I think there's only one person "out of touch with reality" here bud.

We gotta stop giving this guy the time of day.

Nothing to do with what I said.

I point out your overgeneralization.
You proceed to generalize again.
And ignore the most crucial point. Political threads aren't permitted nor particularly liked in this forum.

Talking to you is like talking to a brick wall.
And I have lost my patience with you, I am done.

That is good though. We can't have everyone and country have the same opinion/way of things. The world would be a very dull and boring place that way.

But to my knowledge, aren't you guys are trying to make us, or every country, have the same opinion/way of things. Hence the problems the West, or America has with everyone who doesn't.... agree ...with them?

Mate, let me tell you something you probably already know: Anyone who tells you that things like this, the most complex questions of politics, have simple explanations either doesn't understand or is manipulating you into thinking they way they want you to think: For example - whoever told you that.

There are better places on the internet to discuss and debate this, though...
