Part of the reason I am playing through right now is to get some Elanee action for the first time since I've owned NWN2. I've gotten to chapter 2 and I don't have to influence to get her to tell me the reason she is helping me.  She also made a remark about me paying a lot of attention to Shandra, I gave whatever answer it was that I thought was the most flirty and she sort of just dropped the subject.  

Is this where I should be?  Am I dropping the ball?  Can I still salvage this relationship if I am dropping the ball?

idk, but Elanee's a pretty cold gal (or maybe that's just the person who wrote her scenes). I thought my Drow elf might liven her up a bit, but she ended up just standing there like a log ....

eventually i had to assume that this was success. It make me feel dirty

I wish she would make my Drow feel dirty, but in a much more fun way.  So successfully getting her hot for me is still going to be cold and unsatisfying? This would be okay if it were one of the two cool, bad girls (Qara or Neeshka), but Elanee isn't hot enough for the coy, hard to get act.

You may think of Elanee as a neutral, being a druid and all, but she's actually quite a goody-two-shoes.  Anything you do that's helpful or respectful of others (including especially natural critters and environs) will gain you influence.  Also - obviously I hope - taking her side in any argument or agreeing with any of her suggestions will pile up the influence.  As for the specific romance dialogs - she is hard to get and you'll have to dance around for awhile before it becomes clear she's hot for you.  Dropping the subject may be the best you can hope for for a time until you advance your non-romance influence enough.  I know you've got to get far into the game before she'll reveal why she's helping you.  DON'T flirt with the other chicks around her, of course;  but in one case, the best option might not seem that way at first (she'll say you seem to be paying a lot of attention to "the horned one" (I'm sure horny was the intent) and you should say something like "why not, she is a fiery little dev..." er, "beautiful woman;"  after a bit more banter, if Elanee says you might have other options you haven't noticed yet, you're on the right track.

the morning after, I'm trying to poke her "what was it like, do you still like me?" but she gave me the silent treatment and after that it was like it never happened.

even with giving some leeway for generally bad writing it had the hallmarks of the OC: rushed and incomplete, unfortunately.

If you take the Bill Cosby approach, it'd be a sleight of hand check.

 

The only time I managed to get any 'action' from Elanee was with a chaotic evil cleric / war priest. She propositioned me on the keep ramparts in no uncertain terms. Perhaps she prefers bad boys?

1. Isn't there a romance pack module for the OC?
2. Do you have it installed?

The Neeshka Romance mod still hasn't been finished, but there's an unfinished version available, and I think parts of it are incorporated into the larger OC romance mod.

Well,,it looks like my nature girl vixen is starting to warm up.  I got some nice chances to bump up my influence while investigating Ember and was successful in asking her why she is helping me.  I wonder if my influence with Qara is high enough that maybe, well...you know. Lol.

Yeah, I've exhausted all her conversation options to this point.  I'm pretty sure I'm on the right track now. I just assumed that if she had a romance option, there would be more flirtation early on.  She was slow to come around and seems to dive straight into the intense feelings.  So much for the fun, honeymoon stage.
