What are your opinions on the ending?

I think it is sad, Morrigan leaves, Varric leaves, Skyhold remains as a forgotten castle in the middle of nowhere, the inquisitior starts  in politics,

and Solas gave the Orbe to Coripheus and said nothing to the inquisition about it!?

if you remember ME1 or ME2, there were also urgent situations, and after the ending I wanted to start again and make other choices to know what could have been different, but after the endng of Inquisiton, I just don't feel that way, the bad guy is defeated, but everything is just dull

(still a good game on itself though)

Unrewarding is the only thing I can think about the whole ending arc. The only thing I liked was the celebration buffet and the romance scene. Other than that, it doesn't feel like an ending at all, more like a cliffhanger.

The ending definitely had a "To be continued..." feel to it.

I looked up the definition of "anticlimactic" in the dictionary, and you know what I found? A video of the DAI ending.

anticlimatic, disappointing, unfulfilling... Neither mygirlfriend or I feel like playing it again. it was 100+ hours just to get through the game and it was not fulfilling at all. Neither of us can be bothered to sink another 100+ hours into the game again.

The joke is, I preferred DA2's ending to DAI's and that says a lot.

The funniest thing is that the setting is similar to DA:O: a small room with few people and your companions to greet. But there, after you had done with them, you took the door to celebrate with the crowd that was waiting for you. This time your hero just take the door to his private quarters, probably because this is already the after-celebration.

In this game they always show you the aftermath: of battles, of big events and so on.. why should not be the same also for the final celebration? :P

Yes it was an unrewarding ending but maybe we will get a DLC to improve things.

Don't understand your ending. I don't get that.

Spoiler

But about the party... A crappy mess. On one side you see that the night as fallen and by the windows at the other side a brillant sun is shining! And, apart from Varric and Iron Bull, everyone stay in the shadows. And one and only attemp to talk to them! A sad ending...

Well, i though the ending of the DA:2 and ME:3 were more than below par.

but i thought that DA:I ending was good.

The story arcs are concluded, and we know what happens to the companions, Morrigan intervention was well done. The Flemeth DLC/new game  preparation.

i think it feels anticlimactic because from a combat point of view it is a very easy fight, the wrath of heaven demon or some of the dragons were much more memorable fight, hence no sense of achievement for that one.

A thing that make the ending pretty sad : No final map!

In this game you have big maps with a cliffhanger when you come close to the boss (just remember when you close the sleepings dragons) and for the final boss... If you start the map and cut the cinematic, you begin the fight against him! Right out the blue! Where are all the Grey Wardens close guard they talk about in the previous map?

And the endgame... No shops, no companion talk... feels so empty...

That was an ending to DAI.

But it was not an ending.

I feel like pretty much everybody in the thread .. disappointed.

And I definitly liked the ME2 ending more, i mean just alone the fact that the DA:I ending is so dull ...

in DA:2 we had some epic fighting, major events that shaped the whole of thedas and then of course we had that ***** called Anders that i immediatly hated when i first played awakening being a major dick.

DA:I lacked these kind if things completly :(

I would have sooo loved to see my gigantic inquisition army rallied together with all the allied forces, especially showing all the little support i gathered during all the grinding.

Then i would have liked to give an epic speech to my men and head into battle with this wanna-be god and see my army crush his thugs.

Something like the ostagar scene.

look at this, honestly how epic was that?
After this i couldn't wait to play more of the game and explore every corner of the world.

DA:I  just didn't quite catch me, and then it just ended and 87 hours went by in the meantime.

When does Varric leave?

He doesn't. He tells the Inquisitor that he will eventually return to Kirkwall but not for awhile.

The first thing I did was congratulate my mouse for surviving all the clicking.  It was the only hero in all this.  Last time Corphy seemed dead to me...wanted to make sure, so I kicked him a few times.  Gonna miss that green hand.  Would go home but I don't know my Origin...not sure I care. I jumped out my bedroom window in the tower...The End.

The ending ? First of all it was very fast....didn't feel like an ending at all. Since when do games end by sending you to your quarters ? Everyone is happy that it is over, having a party, but you are sent to your quarters GTFO.

The cutscene with Solas was totally unexpected and it was a typical Bioware ending aka confusing.. Have to give them credit though for the writing here... Solas was an unexpected twist, one that I didn't see coming even though I knew that he something is not right about him. With the game had more twists like this in it.
