Ive been getting that error messege since i first started to download Mass Effect 2 from Direct to Drive. At first I got the "awc.dll" error messege but Intalling the Adobe update gave me the "misconfiguration" messeget. I have Downloaded the Game twice and have reinstalled it about five times. Is anyone else having this problem? Has anyone found a solution?

apparently using the EA download manager and activating through that can solve the problem...

I FIXED IT!! The posts above hold the key.



Here is exactly what I did:

1. Uninstall Mass effect 2 (not sure if this is necessary...)

2. In the directory created by unzipping the zip file downloaded from Direct2Drive.com there is a directory called Software with a program called EAAccessInstaller.

3. From the command line, I ran EAAccessInstaller.exe /s /dir j:\\games\\Mass Effect

I think it prompted me to install Adobe AIR which I did. I also updated AIR

4. Re-installed game to j:\\games\\Mass Effect

Have this same problem. Going to try this solution later today. Rebooting system and restarting ME2 will run problem seem to relate to not clearing memory after a run.
