Developer interaction

I mean myself and quite a few others have still been experiencing a great deal of connectivity drop outs as well as game crashes to dashboard just to name a few. I'm not even going to get into this games loot system or character balance/lack of maps.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that I myself would appreciate feeling like my voice is actually being heard, I'm taking a break from this game (which I'd rather not do because I like playing when it works) I just can't stand not even being able to finish a game because i keep getting dashboarded. This game is a massive grind as it is, these bugs are making it so much more difficult to enjoy.

Oh god, when we are asking for something like Destiny has, you know DAMP is in a bad state.

do I need to make a "certain thread" again. ![]()
Ok, "thasnk BW... blah blah blah"
BSN --> Go!!
Meesing around aside, I must admit that overall (XB1) my experience since the recent patch has been good overall. Only one no key drop, but have had too many CTDs. I think my saving grace is I host my own lobbies, so avoiud some of the connection issues others have.
An yeah, sadly, at least Bungie is doing weekly communications for the Destiny community. I think this would appease many of us if BW followed suit. We do not expect "written in stone" details, as things can change—we understand that. Also, the community has some great ideas to contribute. After all, isn't BW making this game for us *waves money around* considering we are the paying customers? BW, please look at where you're steering your ship. *iceberg right ahead!!* is how it's feeling lately. We'd appreciate some transparency and open communications (and potentially—input) about DAI/MP's future.

It feels like Bioware has the mentality about DA like they just wanted the quick cash on launch then forget about it.

Seems to be a common theme with developers this year...

Why do we need a new thread about this? They have nothing new to announce at this point, and their efforts are likely spent on Patch 5.
You would get more out of interacting with Fritzz on the weekly streaming.

Because keeping quiet and leaving it when it's being ignored and simply accepting it isn't really good enough in my opinion. There's still problems with their game, doesn't have to be announcements about new content only. Why do we need a new thread about this? Funny that I suggested dev interaction such as destiny's incredibly vague and empty PR announcements. All we need is a short list of problems that are being addressed in some sort of order they're being addressed.

And while you are free to have your opinion, clearly the communication strategy for this game is different than what you'd like. Accept it, and move on. You and I are just grains of sand in the hourglass.

And that is the way it must go if we want real improvements.
And besides, the BSN is not the place to consider usage data, since we have no way of knowing other than "gut feelings", which is the very first thing that should be discarded.
Do you follow their facebook page? They post the activity for the multiplayer weekends, the week before last when we had the threatening challenge, 60something % of the playerbase completed the personal challenge, where as previous challenges was only at around 37% - It'll be interesting to see how we stack up for last weekend.

The forum may ask for developer interaction, but in the main the forum members can't constructively handle it.
- If there is communication and feedback is sought (example, multiplayer stream) then requests of the devs predominantly takes the form of: 'when/what is the next dlc', 'when will you change x/y/z feature that I think sucks'. Stuff we know the devs can't answer.
- If an individual dev pops up and starts discussion, even just light commentary, they are invariably dog piled by folk wanting answers to the questions above or worse.
- If 'beta' information is shared openly, any deviation prior to launch is treated as 'BioWare lies', 'this is not what was promised'
In short, 'developer interaction' means (in the main) 'here is the patch dlc' (ta da), rather than 'let's talk about the patch dlc'.
Both the weekly Twitch and the Patch 5 Beta are ways to increase interaction,
but without creating a free-for-all that looks like a discussion inb4 lock.
By all means, I'm an optimistic person, so if there is an improved interaction mechanism that would work in practice
rather than just as a concept, then do fill me in...

Its not even so much what you said though - many players aren't asking for specifics, just communication that they're addressing something.
For example, there are a dozen threads on RNG, AW, accessories not working, et al. Even something as simple as "We're looking into this" or "We're addressing this" is better than silence. More or less, anything that just shows they are indeed working on stated problems and issues with the game is enough. It isn't too much to ask for 3 or 4 words. Not many people are asking for detailed answers at this point.

I understand the point you make, though any comment, vague as it might be, then becomes canon.
I recall a dev comment on a Twitch pre-launch that was 'open' to PC text chat. We have a thread on that nagging away 'where is it'...
If enough people make a thread about it, such as the RNG, which MEMP didn't change and I understand why not, then it's assumed to be pending...
The Arcane Warrior is not broken, it's just a bit 'handy' in a fight, and the devs have commented on that too to say they are not planning to nerf things many people enjoy just for the sake of total class balance.
There have been 'we're looking at this' comments from the Directors, from Conal, but naturally they are not specific.
What's patch 5 and the beta if it's not increasing interaction?
