To some degree, I dislike - though not hate - newbies using TGIs and AIUs. There's a reason for that, and you know what? It even has something to do with score. Shocking, I know!
The fact is that TGI and AIU are extremely forgiving kits with damage output close to that of the GI. Especially new players can be much more effective with these kits, which is also evidenced by how much easier it's to score relatively high with them. This leads them into overestimating their own ability as a player, and that's a bad thing, because if often means they play on a difficulty that's too much for them.
Wait. If they indeed are able to deal good damage and can even stay alive reasonably well, why shouldn't they play on a higher difficulty level? Because their basic, fundamental skills are still lacking. No matter how effective they are at racking up easy kills especially in the earlier waves, their powerful kits don't help them at all in making right decisions. They're simply not dependable when the problem to solve is more complicated than having to kill the enemy in front of you.
All this means that when I see two similarly newish players in a lobby, one using TGI and the other using FQE, I have more faith in the latter. They may go down more easily and often, they may deal less damage to the enemy, but they're also more likely (but not guaranteed) to have good judgment and make the right calls during objective waves.
That said: play whatever you like, regarless of what i think.
