Warden Majere is a member of the forums. She(he) pointed out the book 'Asunder' and Wynne's part. I am guessing this is where Cole was introduced into the Dragon Age Cannon. Is this where the Inquisitor remembers him from? There was a choice to say "I have seen you before" in the Envy Demon's fade?

I haven't read any of the Bioware books except Revan (which kind of upset me). I am starting to think I need to read all the books just to understand the party members. Like when did Varric meet Sten? Why was the Winter Palace destroyed. Why are there no bunnies in stories? etc.

Cole was introduced in Asunder, but he is actually hanging out at the entrance of Therinfal Redoubt, perched on top of a platform. That's where the Inquisitor "saw him before."

You don't really need to read the books. They're just bonuses, really.

You don't need the books to understand anything in this game, but I will say they do help, especially The Masked Empire and, to a lesser extent, Asunder.
