Like Cassandra? You can't possibly have played this game enough if you didn't know she was heterosexual.
EDIT: And Cassandra is hella fine too. Sorry she's not some dolled up sex kitten.

*Looks at thread, sees lots of serious discussions and long paragraphs, something something about Isabela being straight when blatantly strong evidence dictates otherwise*
Just as a little heads-up: The argument isn't that Isabela is straight; it's that her presentation in DA2 sometimes suggested as much (in cases I already specified earlier). So when some say she was "obviously/definitely bisexual", I tend to disagree because I don't think it was always, in fact, so obvious and clear. It just depends on the current setup of your playthrough, meaning there is some ambiguity to the issue.
I may have sounded like I was suggesting she was straight originally, but that was not the message I wanted to convey. Apologies if that's the case.
Not sure why I'm joining this but more banter that does in fact show yes Isabela likes women too.
- Anders: I keep thinking I know you from somewhere...
- Isabela: You're Fereldan, right? Ever spend time at the Pearl?
- Anders: That's it!
- Anders: You used to really like that girl with the griffon tattoos, right? What was her name?
- Isabela: The Lay Warden?
- Anders: That's right! I think you were there the night I—
- Isabela: Oh! Were you the runaway mage who could do that electricity thing? That was nice...
- Hawke: Please stop talking. Now.
Thanks for posting that. I've never heard that banter. Probably because I could rarely stomach having Anders in my party for some reason ![]()
It's not exactly a totally original argument, though. I've seen quite a few others who share my point of view around here. More people understandably tend to think she is a bisexual character, but that's not really how I see it because I don't think it's that cut-and-dried.

Hasn't anyone mentioned the banter conversation that Isabela has with Bethany about being intimate with women? She's bisexual no matter how you look at it... this conversation can happen in any playthrough regardless of who or what Hawke is...
In fact, she can also be involved in a 3 way with Leliana in DA:O, where she first appeared. Just because a given player didn't follow that path in the game doesn't mean that she isn't interested in that sort of thing...
Whenever someone makes a reference regarding gender and Cassandra's jawline, Helena will come visit you in your sleep...

No, it can't. Bethany never makes it out of the prologue if you're Mage Hawke.
This Isabela debate is one of the stranger parts of this thread.
Pretty much. It's made clear she goes for anything and everything. Well, almost anything. She did turn down Gamlen.

It's a perfectly fine jawline. Except for possibly the fact she could stunt double for some incarnations of Batman. I think it's just how radical of a departure it is from DA2 - where she's more "cute" despite still having short hair and some of the things people complain about. DAI Cass has a wider jaw, a more angular face, and a giant honking scar.

Rofl... Touche.
Having said that, I still don't see how your interpretation of Izzy's dialogue at the end of the Hayder mission can hold up.
Well, I do think it's obvious she was teasing something there, but I don't believe it's necessarily indicative of her intended sexual orientation. I could be wrong, but that's honestly how I see it.
In any event, if Gaider really said she was bisexual last year, then that's the most sensible outcome for her. Personally, while DA2 alone wasn't enough for me to conclude that she was 100% bi or straight, I would put her in the former category if forced at gun point. Because 1) she was in a DA:O brothel (if subtly), and 2) she's my own Rose Hawke's girlfriend!
And I will admit that I was never aware of the Anders banter quoted above until now.
What about Isabela and her...STDs ? For this reason, I only romanced her with a Spirit Healer Hawke...

Easily the best reason to bother with Spirit Healer at all.

Is there such a thing as an 86% bisexual?
There is such a thing as being 100% sure that a character is bisexual, which is what I meant there. Is there such a thing as an 86% bisexual?

Yes I am 2-3% bisexual I think Dorian have nice ass but still wouldn't have sex with him.
I'm straight and even I have a little thing for Dorian's bottom. His magic truly is transcendental.Yes I am 2-3% bisexual I think Dorian have nice ass but still wouldn't have sex with him.

Batman?...is that a gender reference?...you should probably stock up on sweets...

Spoiler
I'm weird. I like the creepy girls the most in anime or video games. But it doesn't work so well IRL for some reason, unless its the creepy girlfriend from youtube.
next topic will be 'why can't we have a bisexual romance option with lord woolsley'
So this is just another "Cass and Josie are ugly" thread? I was hoping for an interesting reason for the two to be comparable, especially since neither Dorian or Isabela is aesthetically pleasing to me. Cassandra and Josephine are much better looking.
Which is why the whole complaint is so ridiculous. Who is or isn't attractive is completely subjective to the individual audience member. I actually suppose I agree with the OP slightly, now that I've thought about it a little bit, I probably would say that I find Dorian and Isabela to be the most attractive DA love interests for each gender, but I find Cassandra and Josephine attractive too, yet Leliana never cut it for me and she's generally considered one of the golden children when it comes to romancing.
I wish this was true......

(For the record, I did not draw these images, they just look strikingly similar to how I envisioned Cassandra Pentaghast).
Those facial proportions look correct. If you want to make her look like she's 40 then you add eye wrinkle, forehead wrinkle, puffy eyes and then sag the skin around the jaw line.
If the DAITools guy figures out how to get facial imports in. I will give the gift of Cassandra Pentaghast to all the Dragon Age fans. I will give you the REAL Cassandra Pentaghast, not the one that's in game now. It would get at least 250,000 downloads. I have Cassandra's face open in 3D Studio max right now and I got photoshop/zbrush ready to go with a whole bunch of various skin textures, brows, tool, etc.
No, the real Cassandra Pentaghast is already in my game, and I would not change a damned thing about her appearance.
I'll take you up on that challenge. I'll make you fall in love with my real version of Cassandra Pentaghast.

I love how he gave her boob plate armor, considering the banter between her and Bull regarding female armor. ![]()

I have to say though, I prefer boob plate to the armors we got in Inquisition.
