Why can't we have a romance option like Isabella for straight male gamers?

Complain about something that people won't come into this thread to troll you, like archetypes (did I use that word right?)

Hey Elcor_ you have just made it to the magical 666 post. Somehow with your avatar, wow, that's actually scary stuff man. Nice.
And here I ruin my perfect number with this post, but I took a screenshot of my 666th post for posterity.

Not just for Cass. I was pretty grumpy over the Nutcracker Prince outfit for my female Inquisitor too. <grumble>
Ditto. If our Inquisitor and our companions had received appropriate, fashionable attire, I would have happily played that section repeatedly just to see all of my companions' appearances and reactions.
That was such a missed opportunity to do something that all of the fans would have loved.

What about the deal he proposed though? I mean one romance in exchange for everyone else in Thedas becoming gay seems like a pretty generous offer.

And to answer the question and keep the thread on topic (because I hate seeing these threads closed when actual, meaningful convos could happen) I guess it's because they don't want to do the same thing twice. Although I'd love to have another pirate like character again. But that's just me.
I'm very down for another pirate. ![]()

Still a novice, don't know how to have the video show up without the link.
Hmm, it should be a copy and paste. Just don't set it to an exact time and it should work:

I'll just settle for someone mobile, pirate-like or not. Josephine's nice enough and all, I suppose, but she's pretty straight-laced and more importantly - stationary. It's a bit like carrying on a romance with a signpost. I can't speak for anyone with Traynor and ME3, but I imagine it's pretty similar - you lose a lot with a character that does nothing but stand around waiting for you to talk to them. Half the fun is the banter, and with a signpost character you don't really get that.
If one really wanted to make an argument that Bioware really didn't give a rat's ass about straight male Inquisitors (gamers or otherwise), all they'd have to do is point out that the unpatched game didn't really give 'em a complete romance. Josephine's doesn't have a sex scene, and Cass' wouldn't work until Bioware rolled out the "Well, we kind of missed this bug where very important conversations don't work and you have to manually skip them" patch well over a month later.

And most romances don't need a sex scene. TThat may not please everyone and I can see why she's called the Disney romance (Sorry Natashina I know that irks you a bit) but hey...that's life, sadly.

It seems quite vain to quote myself, but I wanted to add to the above comment by saying that I'd hoped to see Cass looking feminine and "model-esque" at the Winter Palace ball.
I wanted her to be wearing a long, elegant, French Renaissance-style dress, with a flower in her hair.
I'm sure she would have looked stunning, and her scowling and bitching would have been hilarious.
Alas, everyone got those God-awful Prince Charles outfits, even the women. And I'm British; I like Prince Charles, but he's not exactly a fashion icon. lol
Cassandra wouldn't be caught dead wearing a frilly dress.

True - your companions are too stupid to stand still, even if you directly order them to.
Not a whole lot of variety, though.

Meh, no worries. It's not like you use that as a soapbox to constantly proclaim your dislike of the romance. I've read your posts, and even when I disagree, you back up your points. I respect that. ![]()

Definitely agree with you on this one. I've never been one to think that a sex scene is required to make a romance worthwhile. In fact, two of my all-time favorite BW romances (Josephine and Thane) don't have any sex scenes to speak of.

For me, Garrus deserves a mention. You get a kiss with Shepard and him falling sideways onto the bed, then a fade to black. He also happens to be my favorite ME romance. ![]()
