Realistically, no character really compares to any other character...
They are all different with personalities and what not. This is the point...
Now, if certain people such as the OP doesn't like any of their romance options, then the solution is rather obvious; get over it.
Is it really that crucial that you play 200 + hours to see two seconds of boobs? Really?
While I get the whole "females had more options than straight men" argument, as a lesbian I am in the same boat. Lesbians only got two... and nothing against Josie here (just not into her like that) if we go by the OP's logic, I only got one option, that being Sera.
If Sera did not exist, well I simply either would 1.) not romance anybody, or out of curiosity, I would 2.) romance Josie.
Never in my right mind would I come on here, spamming about how "teh ugli romance optionz" to the point of editing pictures that look the same anyway, or go to the Devs on Twitter and ask them to change aspects of characters they've created...
It's really that simple.
Well agreed, i made a female and romanced Sera, all fixed, sort of....

That video ... hahahaha PRECIOUS
ME: New game, new game from Bioware. New chicks hell yeah.
BIOWARE: Hey there. Take a look at some of the options:

ME: Well ... ooookaayyy ... I'll be right back
BIOWARE: We forgot to add, these are the only options FOR YOU. ![]()
ME: Y U TROLL ME BIOWARE, Y ???

However, that's the thing. Whatever Sar posts might not be what you like. Sar might post someone completely different from you.
So, that's not going to work. Attraction is very subjective. That's something that I know that the OP refuses to accept. Besides, there are more polite ways of going about requesting an archetype for a LI without constantly belaboring the point that a character is ugly or mannish. The KISA thread is a great example of this.
For example, while I enjoyed Iron Bull's romance, it sure wasn't his looks that drew me to him. For me personally, men built like the Bull (very tall, extremely well muscled) do less than zero for me. The personality is what did it. When it comes to BioWare games, I don't care about looks. I enjoy them, like most people would, but it's not on my priority list. Otherwise, I would have dismissed Garrus' romance in ME because he was too alien looking. I would have skipped Alistair's romance in Origins because he was too generic looking for me. Fenris because he was too pretty, Isabela because she was too busty, and so on and so on.
This value placed on looks of the Lis for BioWare games is very odd to me. Maybe it's because I'm a woman and I've had romances that had mostly unconventionally good looking men for options.
At this point, I think straight male characters need someone as conventionally attractive as Bull or Garrus as a LI option. I'm wondering if the attitude would change if there was female LIs that looked like that but still had kickass personalities.

As far as looks goes, to be honest, I don't find most of the male LIs attractive. The thing is, I find myself not giving a damn.

Yes i've read how new studies have changed these rules but for me this is pretty much the rule of thumb..
My most valuable woman in Inquisition and one i wanted instantly, i thought she was beautiful and alluring and interesting was Bianca, i'd have her in a second and never look back, i bet that's not the norm..

Take it from someone that's closer to 40 than she wants to be: Things are gonna change on you, rapidly. Even when you think you're certain of all the answers, it's going to take a left turn. It sounds obvious, but it usually has crappy timing to show up. Plus, a pretty face, even in a video game, means nothing if they don't have a great personality.
And for all this talk about how much some might miss Leliana or Isabela, I remember many complaints stating, from men that would make it clear that they were straight:
Leliana was too religious,
Her hair was too short,
Her lips were too narrow.
That redheads were ugly.
Isabela was too much of a liar,
Her outfit was too ridiculous for battle (yes, by self-proclaimed straight men)
Her breasts looked too big, (unrealistic was the term used)
That her freckles were ugly.
Morrigan was too much of a b*tch
Her outfit didn't show enough side boob
Her arms were too thin
That her nose was ugly.
This is why I've rolled my eyes some at the topic and at the OP. I know that you and he weren't around, but believe me, it's not like straight/bi men were unified in their attraction of the supposed "hottest" women of the series.
This topic is just...

Yes, sure lets add more to the pool of oversexulise 'ideal' women, which in turn makes female gamers uncomfortable, and of course then people wonder why female gamers get shitty ,at some straight guy gamers when this is constantly coming up. Is it to much to ask, that the next generation of female gamers doesn't have to feel like crap, and uncomfortable when they load up a game?
Someone requesting a LI built more like Leliana or Miranda doesn't bother me. It's more of the idea that (thankfully) only a very few in this thread have that, because the LI does not look more like Leliana/Isabela (more conventional beauties versus the unconventional but still gorgeous Cassandra), they are ugly and mannish.
These kinds of requests, even when the tone of them can get very ugly, don't bother me in large part because I overall trust that BioWare knows what they are doing with their characters. They've made it very clear in various ways that they completely refuse to pigeonhole themselves one way or the other. There's room for both the Isabela's and the Cassandra's in the romances. In my opinion, the matter of appearance doesn't make one better than the other. Variety, however, is always welcomed by me.
On that note, I'm up far past my bedtime. Night guys, and thanks for keeping this mostly civil. Overall, it's been a pretty good read. ![]()

I'm actually 41.

Miranda *eye-twitches* .Yeah I don't mind pretty, so much as I mind porn-star mentality in game-design. But yeah good points.

For me it would go like 2 , 3 ... ... 1
Now, about faces

As far as I see it, all are attractive but the middle ones:
The middle top is just ... meh.
The bottom middle one, plain ugly.
Tough luck. The top one is Jos and the bottom one is Cass.

I'm truly sorry that you have to go through that, I truly am. However, I don't really think it's fair to say he wants an oversexualised big breasted LI . he just wants another Isabela type character, I.e. pirate rougish.
Naah he has made clear that he doesn't care about personality in this, he wants attractive female character and he wants option to change skin color of characters as well since apparently some skin colors are more attractive than others
If only this thread would have been about Isabela's easygoing personality, I'd have agreed since I like her attitude.

Well, the top one is also Liv Tyler and Kate Beckinsale.
...and the bottom one is also Olivia Wilde and Lucy Liu.
You can find beautiful examples of any of these shapes, but of course, it makes sense that you prefer particular ones over others.

Do we have to choose? I would take any of them.

Yep, thats me missus right up there in the right.
I would agree that none of the women in DA:I are physically attractive, but isn't that just a matter of taste? I see plenty of men dating women I would regard as unattractive in RL, so obviously it is a case of different strokes for different folks.
To be fair though, the men are pretty unattractive too. There are certainly no men in DA:I who are attractive enough to date in RL (maybe their personalities would win some over I suppose). Cullen is probably the best of a bad bunch, but his (lack of) personality kills it.

Indeed. In fact, not even once have I seen him mention personality.
Regarding physical symmetry and appearance however, he has charts, and studies, and statistics...

Olivia Wilde and Lucy Liu.
Some of the hottest women ever..
Oh, word? He did that?
Eh, I try to see the good in people.
Yep.

Okay now what?
You've linked pictures of women some people find attractive, I've linked a picture of a woman some people find attractive, and as far as I can tell all we've established is that attractive women can look different. Cas looks different to all of said women and yet amazingly, some people find her attractive.
When you show us an image of a buxom blonde with long hair and delighted expression you're just showing us an image of a woman is entirely not like Cas, and if you find her attractive that's great, but she doesn't say anything about Cas, because women are different.
