To be very fair macaroni and cheese is super easy to screw up and make nasty. That or I just go to a lot of places with awful food which is totally possible.

Like I said its really easy to mess up and when you get bad mac and cheese its BAD but good mac and cheese is amazing I could eat good mac and cheese for lunch for at least a week. I don't blame ya for not wanting to try it again though when its bad its bad.
