My eyes hurt from reading his post tbh
Why can't we have a romance option like Isabella for straight male gamers?

I honestly wonder if criticism of Cassandra's looks boils down to her short hair... It'd be interesting to see if a Cass hair mod makes a stark difference to how she is perceived by her detractors.

Let's try something new and establish which game is more superior. Skyrim or Dragon Age series? Of course, why even compare Skyrim to Dragon Age Inquisition? Because we all know Bioware is trying to copy Skyrim in many ways.
By 2015 Skyrim sold twenty million copies. By that authority, let us compare Skyrim romance to Dragon Age romance.
Skyrim is light years ahead of Bioware in romance options. I understand that Bioware fleshes out a companions personality FAR more than Skyrim companions. But still, hear me out................
In Skyrim you can marry any gender whether you're female or male. There are no issues, no qualms, no prejudice, no favoring one particular group over another. Everyone is equal whether you're straight, gay or lesbian. All that matters is the NPC's personality and your own personality. That's it. Who you are is more important than which way your genitals swing.
Imagine Cassandra, Sera and Dorian being able to be romanced by a male or female player. No prejudice, no issues, no qualms, all that matters is Cass, Sera & Dorian's personality, who they are. Everyone is equal.
I understand the LGBT community may not like this, so I wouldn't mind you guys having exlusive gay/lesbian characters. Me personally, I don't care.
Warning, the following is a very controversial opinion which explains why I don't care. Remember this is a public forum which is far different from realities and truths discovered in someones private bedroom.
Spoiler
I'm looking for mature, controversial discussion, so please don't respond with pointless jargon. I never go to your threads and make posts that have nothing to do with the original post.

The most common reason I see is because she has a sharp jawline.
... I can name numerous women who are traditional beauties and also have sharp jawlines, but for some reason it only applies to Cassandra.
I mean, look at this mannish thug with her man jaw:

I've honestly thought this from the beginning. I really do think that if Cassandra had hair like Miranda and Josephine got topless, we'd never have had this whole, "Straight guys got discriminated against" thing that happened here.

Regarding the complaints about Cassandra's appearance...
I think it is a combination of both the short hair and the sharp jawline. After all Cassandra had short her in DA2 as well, and many of the complainers were swooning over her then. The difference is that her facial features were softer in DA2. I think if she had only one of those features there would be a lot less complaining. Having both however makes her appear slightly androgynous. Not that anything is wrong with that of course, but I think it's the combo of both that has some griping.
Having said that if Cassandra's appearance isn't their liking they have at least one other option in DA:I, and possibly more depending on their interests. Or they go could have their Inquisitor go forever alone. Acting like they've been slighted by the devs in some way however, greatly exaggerates the importance of content that probably amounts to about 15 minutes in a 100 hour game.

You know, after playing DA:I then going back and doing a rerun of DA:2... seeing Cass, I was thinking WTF that isn't Cass!! That's just some silly, half-arsed attempt.
Which is strange because i liked the DA 2 version far more than the DA I one.

As for the 'Skyrim is better at romances than Dragon Age', I agree with the sentiment somewhat because Skyrim has indeed one thing involving romances it beats Dragon Age by in a landslide: the option of marrying your LI.

Still better than Dragon Age on that front.
When it comes to romances themselves, Dragon Age has better quality no question. But they are beaten by Skyrim in the marriage department.

But it forces you into a marriage if you want to have a "romance" (term used very loosely). Given that you think it's wrong to have only "no marriage" options, wouldn't you also think that it's wrong to have only "marriage" options? Wouldn't it be better to have both?

I wouldn't count the simple inclusion of marriage as a quality over DA when the Skyrim marriages involve no actual romance (nor even romance outside marriages).

Considering that I haven't seen nearly as many complaints about Merril's appearance, I really think the issue is mostly focused on the jawline.

Well, if you want my personal subjective opinion than I think they should be part of all romances before sex occurs.
But if you want my nonpersonal objective opinion than yes having both options is the best choice for a game to offer.
Not really, all you have do to is wear a necklace then all of a sudden they fall in love with you

Again, still better than Dragon Age on that front. No matter how bad the content, anything still beats the zero content DA offers.

I did another iteration of facial modifications.

Although I'm not a fan of Bethesda games in general, I can at least entertain the possibility that they do some things better than Bioware. Open worlds for example, since that is their bread & butter. But romances or character content? You're out of your gorram mind.
Regarding Skyrim romance. No one bothered reading the rest of my post. So here is the basic, basic version.
Skyrim allows you to marry any gender you choose no matter your own gender. You can marry whatever gender you want. There is no discrimination. No big deal is made out "oh look, our game has a gay only companion" or a "straight only companion". Everyone is treated equally in Skyrim.
I am not trolling when I tell you that I don't see an improvement.
Thanks, I made another iteration based upon things people didn't like.
Why are you still posting after that embarrassing post? Legit serious question too
