Why can't we have a romance option like Isabella for straight male gamers?

Same logic applies...not everyone in the world (game world or real world) is going to make an effort to act and think a certain way just for you, I don't see a problem with that.

True.

This is the typical reaction in my mind when Cassandra starts yammering on about her Maker's plan or will or what have you.

After all, delusional people believing in things that might exist and believe that they would actually help or care or have special plans are not going to make an effort to change or improve themselves for they are delusional.

Which is why I said I couldn't care less about her, I want more options. Lace Harding seems like a good option.

Just like anyone else, Cassandra could look more feminine if you changed her hair, clothes and added make-up (being more or less feminine of course does not automatically translate to greater beauty, that's a subjective matter). The thing is, her appearance reflects her personality, she isn't currently interested in playing barbie and putting in an effort to look feminine for someone. Not everyone in the world (game world or real world) is going to make an effort to look a certain way just for you, I don't see the problem with that.

I liked this comment because I too don't feel like the females in a game should revolve around my personal tastes. they should always be a hit or a miss, or somewhere in between.

That being said, I hope I get lucky with my choices next game, should I play it.

I usually roleplay my characters and try to look at love interests from their perspective, would my character find this person attractive?

I may be more of a bear person myself...but my elderly inquisitor mage is about the meet a young, handsome tevinter mage with daddy issues...there will be sparks!

You know, I like Dorian, and I actually felt something for his dad when he tried to apologize for that awful manipulation. I should have credited Gaider again for finding small moments that make you sympathize with assholes trying to fix their messup..

That being said, to be female quisitor will be frowning when Tevinter tells her he's not truly interested.. "That TEASE!", I like to play my female characters (in roleplays, never did one in an actual game), as fiery and hotheaded, she might forgive him one day for being a tease.

Hello all i borrowed the Cass picture from this thread and played with it, i have not changed her face at all..

Please let me know what you all think of it, i'm no art major obviously but i wanted to see peoples thoughts on Cassandra with a few tweaks, do the straight guys feel she looks a lot more female and lady like?

I think she looks so different personally, and i understand some might be offended, if so my apologies, just wanted to see opinions.

I'm going to be very blunt.   It looks terrible.  The blondes especially are laughable.  I know you want longer hair, but honestly?  That doesn't look like Cassandra to me.   It looks absolutely fake, and it would even if you put it in-game graphics.   Besides, unlike Josie's bun, that would take hours of styling.  Which Cassandra wouldn't do, not to mention it's impractical as hell.  Josie can get away with something more styled, because she isn't up to her elbows in demon's blood all the time.

No.  Just no.  That isn't suited for a warrior, and it certainly is not suited for Cassandra.  She doesn't look any better.  If anything, she looks ridiculous.

<goes poof for the weekend>

Cassandra seems far too practical to be the type to walk around with her hair waving about. If she had long hair, it would probably be tied up.

Well are you all straight guys? just asking, and i personally like the last three, i'm sorry you all feel that way and such but to me she looks far superior and better looking.

That said i understand your thoughts but i know some Historical reenactment females with long hair and they can sword fight with the best of them, so really in combat under a helmet hair length is moot, with no helmet yes it could be used as a hand hold but males have long hair in combat too...

On topic people in this community just seems so hateful, its quite disgusting how customers treat others here..

Yes, I'm a straight guy and my girlfriend has long hair that grows all the way down to her ass.

I don't see why this matters though.

Err... yeah... those shops... lol.

Just stick with Dawn of the Seeker if you want to talk about long-hair Cassandra.

DotS_Cassandra_striking_a_pose.jpg

Even if Dawn of the Seeker is a black sheep among DA and anime fans alike.

And even if this concept looks nothing like she actually does in DotS which looks nothing like she does in either game.

I like the design.

But I fail to see the need for it to be so.

I am straight and I liked Cassandra and the other female love interests in the game. Short hair for a warrior lady makes sense too.

Third one in second row looks best. But even with thinner chin and long hairs there is something repulsive in her face, I don't exactly know what is it. The same feeling I have when looking at default female Shepard in ME. Wouldn't touch either of them.

I love how you selectively choose to respond to "go away" and not "all women are bisexual", as though "go away" is more offensive.

It is, if you cannot by now tell the difference, then i cannot help you.

By the way go away..

I'm straight, but it doesn't really have much bearing on how I feel about the long hair pics. It doesn't really help that they look really incongruous to the face, because they're clearly 'shopped off of some model or actress's head and they're all made up and treated. But just the same, Cassandra's character is largely defined by her being a fierce warrior, so she just looks really out of place with flowing locks just hanging off her head everywhere. It makes much more sense for it to be cut, or braided and bound up so she has no long flowing hair just waving around her shoulders and back most of the time.

Maybe something a little similar to this, or perhaps something less elaborate, like a simple braid.

In any case, it doesn't help that BioWare does not do hair well at all in the first place, so would probably crack a hole in the space time continuum in an effort to create long hair that actually works well on the character model. Heck, Sera's hair actually moves around, but it's manageable because it's also short.

Bioware and hair is not a good combination at all -_-

This is how it's done, Bioware:

In general, that's how you do a proper character creator.

The middle one in the bottow row. Aestheticly best (for me).

This is cute too.

My bad, I meant jaw not chin. And I got that impression because of the hairs on the left side of the image. Her face there looks more oval.

Kinda my point exactly, positive or negative adding hair totally changed how she looks.

None of that just doesn't suit her...

And in response to her aesthetics of DA:2 vs DA:2... while she may have appeared more "attractive" in DA:2, I actually appreciated how more detail and effort was put into her appearance in DA:I.

Although, I don't find her attractive like that. However, I can understand why some people find her attractive...

All of them are pretty ugly and those that are not especially atrocious make her look boring and a bit like soccer mom.
