In Dragon Age 2, if you play a MALE HAWKE and wish to romance Isabella, you can. Isabella is extremely attractive.  To gay men, Dorian is extremely attractive.

 

 

Personally I didn't find Dorian particularly attractive. 

 

In fact, I thought both Cassandra and Josephine were more attractive than Dorian. I was never a fan of Isabela either.

That said i understand your thoughts but i know some Historical reenactment females with long hair and they can sword fight with the best of them, so really in combat under a helmet hair length is moot, with no helmet yes it could be used as a hand hold but males have long hair in combat too...

 

I suspect the bigger issue is looking after it in the field, when you're not sure if you'll get a bath each week and if you'll have anything approaching soap when you do. That said it's certainly possible for women to have longer and uh 'more typically feminine' hair in combat - within limits - Cas just chooses not to.

 

I think maybe something slightly longer (shoulders?) with simple braiding to be pretty and practical might suit her. But the free flowing locks are impractical and I think unlike her.

They should make romances that would be attractive to their gender Dorian for female, Sera male and female, Vivienne ...umm i have no clue about her, so far she is the most bitchy character in the game i just wish i could kick her from inquisition
