Why can't we have a romance option like Isabella for straight male gamers?

Exactly.  I think Isabela is an awesome character and I support people who romanced her because of her awesome personality (and, frankly, don't care if people romanced her because she's hot, too).  But it's clear that the OP only wants another Isabela-type because of how she looks.  I've said it before and I'll say it again.  If the only things that were changed about Cassandra were the length of her hair and the sexiness of her armor, we'd never have this endless stream of "Why is Bioware discriminating against straight guys" threads.  If her hair and clothes looked like Isabela or Miranda, but her face and personality were exactly the same, people wouldn't be complaining about her.

Exactly this. Cassandra is Lara Croft in proper clothing.

No one called Lara Croft a dike. Cause you know, we could see her bewbage.

Dude... you must have a very sad life if all you have to do in a forum is whining about women and then spamming the forum and then tweeting the devs.

A very sad person.

really? I don't think they are. If there is some discriminating it's about lesbians. Cassandra is best female character in game and she's not available for female PC. Sera is mentally a teenager so maybe for younger players she would seem "cool and in" and Josephine is boring and Lelliana is unavailable so there is no one worth romancing.

I don't think Cass would look right with long hair anyways. I've tried with modeling programs. She's got a face best suited for a pixie cut.. and it's still feminine, as far as I'm concerned. She's super hot as far as game characters go. But that's my opinion.

Why can't we have a romance option like Isabella for straight male gamers? The gay male gamers got Dorian.

In Dragon Age 2, if you play a MALE HAWKE and wish to romance Isabella, you can. Isabella is extremely attractive.  To gay men, Dorian is extremely attractive.

So the question is why don't straight male gamers get an attractive romance option like Isabella, Morrigan or Leliana in Inquisition?

The gay hivemind has declared Dorian most attractive man of all!

Straight guys do get an attractive romance option. Their names are Cassandra and Josephine. That you don't find them attractive personally doesn't mean that they aren't attractive to anyone else. You may not have noticed, but Cass is a very popular LI, so obviously plenty of straight guys disagree with you. And Josephine is certainly no slouch.

If you're really that hooked on Isabela, Leliana and Morrigan, they are LIs. Just not in this game.

They clearly imply that Sera isn't a good romance for the lesbians. Same shite, different day.

Have you tried looking at other areas of the internet for women up to your standard?

Ah so this is just a 'the women LIs are too ugly for me' thread again huh? I'd get a shot but too early for that over here. Ah screw it.

Just to clarify, I don't think there's discrimination against straight guys, but it's a real argument that's been used many times (by this OP, in the past in fact) that Bioware is choosing to make a statement at the expense of straight guys and are trying to push straight guys away from the series.  And that Cassandra and Josephine are so hideous and manly that this is the tactic that they've chosen to use.  This is a real argument.  Used by people.......

This was my favorite part of the OP.  It's the fact that apparently all gay men find Dorian to be attractive.  I must have missed that meeting where we voted in favor of that for the "Gay Agenda".  While I think Dorian is attractive, there are plenty of gay guys who are unhappy with both of our options (mostly around Dorian's facial hair and the fact that Bull is a BDSM giant horned bull-man).  They make their opinions known here and there, but refrain from spamming the forums with countless threads, so maybe that's why the OP missed it.......

If Bioware's goal was to make straight male games disinterested and indifferent to romanceable female characters, they sure did succeed. Congratulations.

She did have longer hair initially:

(was also silver-haired for a while. I guess Fenris complained about it, or smth)

I don't think you've been reading most of it. :P

that you do not like flirting, courting etc. because  you said:

it takes AGES getting forward with them

Frankly I like it when the relationship evolves naturally and within the context of the story as an aspect of it, DAI still has not perfected this but it tries. I do agree that the 'sex scene' should not be the end of it, it's lame because it decides that it's the sole goal of mine. 'You banged a fictional character, quest done, congrats'

Yeah..

More specifically, I'm talking about her DAI model/face. It just works well with the hair she has. In the anime, she had a longer pony tail as well but it was a different face.

I was so confused by the turn the thread had taken until I saw that OP had updated his post. Well, I may not agree with him about Cassandra's degree of beauty, but I'm at least grateful that he communicates concisely and politely so far.

Still I think you've mislabeled this thread OP. I suspect it's not an explanation for why there isn't someone with exactly Isabela's facial structure that you want, but rather to complain that there isn't. You seem intelligent enough to be quite aware that it's because beauty is relative. They did in fact, make a character that fits general stands of "beauty" with proportional features, good skin, etc.

But that jawline...It may be the most well-discussed jawline in the history of video gaming characters. I wonder how fewer the complaints would be if Cassandra's jawline were slightly more narrow.

I don't think it should change.. seemed like she went through various designs pre-release and as far as I'm concerned, finally nailed it with this design. If people complain, so be it.

The only thing I can understand is if people wanted another character to romance (for males, that is). More options are always cool. I don't think they should change other characters to suit people though.

I don't see people complaining much about Dorian's mustache, Sera's hair, Bull's peanut head, Blackwall's gaunt looks, Solas's shiny head and horse-face, what gives?

Well, from what I gathered from the OP, he is not dissatisfied with the limited options for straight male romances, he is simply disappointed that there is no "Isabela" type of character in the game.  Not even for lesbian romances.  IMHO I always thought Isabela was a one-off..  "pirate" type characters don't really fit in the DA world besides DA2 so I don't mind.  I do wish however that more characters were bi just for the fun of it but we will just have to wait for someone to make a mod.

For a while he did have the shiniest of heads and skin in general alpha Solas was fond of baby oil or something cause he was very very shiny. >.>
