Sooooo......SpaceV3gan is an elitist who only plays the Arcane Warrior and brags about being awesome? Got it!

According to some, yes. I can't help about the impression I cause on people.

And you need to play every class equally to be on the leaderboards apparently.

I've never promoted my Katari, I must be garbage.

Hardly so. I don't play them equally either. I have 30 Promotions as the Ele and 2 as the Katari.

I remember playing a couple of games with you SpaceVegan.

But I have now stopped playing DAMP as it is really tedious; RNG loot, zero diversity in weapons and boring maps just to name a couple of things.

M3MP is where it is at :)

Did you use to be part of my Friend's list? I have unfriended many people lately, because they have the same pessimist views about DAMP as you have  <_<
Now please, let's not talk about ME3 being the greatest co-op game ever on this thread. I don't want more people leaving DAMP...

I am EU based and I don`t think you counted me here. Saw you once or twice, I think - not 100% sure.

Yep

Resurrecting this thread that I created 4 months ago.

DAMP had few months of joy between February and now, thanks in part due to the Dragonslayer DLC and (I assume) Origin sales, but it seems like everything is going downhill once again. I find myself running trios and duos and normally considering those as 'teams' - during peak hours. Outside peak hours, the game is just dead.

Do other PC gamers experience the same?

I imagine some of you aren't affected by the region-lock as much as I am and can resort to pugging, but still, the playerbase decline that I am seeing today is huge, it must be affecting even the most privileged regions.

I'll add that the region locked matchmaking is making it difficult to play this game at all.

The region lock is DAMP's downfall.

However, I am surprised you are experiencing it that noticeably. You play from Western Europe, which is by itself possibly the most populated region there is. And at least on PC, Western Europeans are constantly matched with US East Coast, further enhancing the quality of this region when it comes to matchmaking.

I play from the Third World. There is no comparison.

Hi there. I was on your friends list a while ago, but I think that you unfriended me. I am based in London UK and play weekdays late afternoon to early evening, and virtually all weekends. I do have a small group within my friends list that I play with constantly and one of them is in the top 100. Feel free to add me again and maybe we can team up at some point.

I can assure you on the Xbox One I have never been matchmade with someone in the US and I've been playing since release, I have to join one on my US friends to be able to have access to the US player pool. I only get matchmade with EU players if the game puts me with anyone at all.

The hell kinda silly question is that? Of course I do. I'm petty that way.

Yeah, in all my time playing this never happened either.

And if Farage has his way, even that won't be an option. :(

What argument are you trying to make here? VGChartz doesn't track digital distribution, so doesn't prove anything one way or the other regarding Origin.

Same situation here. I feel routine and threatening matchmaking is okay, but perilous lobby is just a ghost town. Most times I have to solo the first part, hoping someone is going to join at some point (my experience, if you are still alone when you passed zone 3, expect to solo the whole map alone, in fact when that happens I never made it through the final boss fight).

I tend to play the most at weekends (whole day). Add me if you want to.

Origin ID: minjiacheng

I'm glad he resigned. Not that the outcome was much better in my opinion.

One major problem with the European zoning is that the connection to countries in the east can be very slow. When movement is one step back for every two forward the game becomes a bit of a farce. After a while I just have to give up.

I appreciate this, I'd just like to find a game I'm not bothered if there's some latency. People give this same reason for why we don't connect with US players but when I play with my US/Canadian friends I have no connection problems at all and very little if any latency. If matchmaking isn't opened up this game will die so much faster, it will come to a point where most players will have to solo just to play at all. This is clearly already happening, no amount of DLC will save this game if players are not able to play with each other in a team game. It just blows my mind.

I've run into Rhaegos and his friends in a pug lately and have played a few games with him since then. Added some other players from perilous pugs as well. Between them and some BSNers, as well as the fact I'm in Germany, I usually can find full games.

I don't have anything against you, v3gan, but I can just imagine the shitty connection we'd have considering your location. So that's why I'm not too keen on adding you.

True that... Had once where the team was wiped and no one knew what happened; just seeing enemies randomly flying around the screen and the next moment we are wiped. Damn annoying with poor connections.

Don't insult your own intelligence. D/D accounted for almost 50% of EA's sales last quarter. A sharp dip in physical media sales across all platforms =/= sharp increase in D/D. If you've been playing the game since Nov 2014, then you should already know that the playerbase took a dip in March/Apr and spiked in May due to DragonSlayer DLC and dipped even further by the end of June. If new Origin D/D sales spiked the playerbase, then where are all the bannerless noobs now and on the weekends? *cricket sounds*

Not everything requires the "links/video or GTFO" response. You just need to open your eyes, pay attention to the trends going on around you (e.g. reading the forum boards, checking game reviews, tracking sales etc), playing the game, and using a bit of reasonable deduction.

While the connection would undoubtedly be shitty, I wouldn't mind playing under heavy lag given how dire the current situation is. That being said, there is another factor stopping me from playing with Europeans: Timezone. Unless I can find Europeans who play in the morning (5 to 10 am) it would make no sense adding them.

Space not sure i've played with you before, but i play about 1-2 hours a night every night without fail, usually later in the evening (cst). I don't have a mic but that's never been a problem for me before. I mostly play archer, but it varies. My Origin ID is ThatOneOk
