Whoever has snow falling right now wins.
8 degrees C (46F) and rainy here.
There was a bit in the weekend here, but it's all gone now. I think there's still some in the mountains. Now we have stupidly strong winds and 7-12 °C.

Unfortunately, that's not enough for the win, thank you for your participation.
lol

well, yesterday when you wrote this it was -5C/22Fwith light snowfall so do I still win
...today though it's about ~1C/34F with rain
My M-38 mako has no snow tires and my prefab trailer takes credits I'd rather spend on red sand things that definitely aren't red sand to heat so I am glad it's warmer

Congratulations Techno, you win the prize below. Keep warm soldier.
It's a foggy morning, with 4 deg C. You can't see anything that's 10+ meters around you. I love it! ![]()
Nope. No snow around here again. Something like 10C in the last days.
So I was wondering what that phenomenon was called in English (and German if AWFC could help
) when there's this kind of winter rain that falls and freezes immediately, and everything gets icy and slippery as f*ck. We had that a couple weeks ago and it would've been easier to get around in ice skates instead of shoes.
How's the weather on Noveria by the way? I heard it's pretty rough around there right now.
We had that happen in Montreal in 1998. Schools closed down for 3 weeks and everything was, as you describe, a skating rink. My buddy put on his skates on the street. I did make it to the bus stop though, like a god damn hero student! lol We just call it an ice storm, not sure if there is a technical term.
This is what it's like on Noveria...

Blitzeis?
Es ist möglich. Ich bin nicht sicher, deswegen habe ich es gefragt.
Or something like that. ![]()
Just popping in like ten days later to say that people usually call that graupel around where I live, not sure how widespread that term is though.

Seems like that is the proper term for it. Funny that I'm from a snowy country and I've never heard of the term. Although, it also seems a tad different than an ice storm. What we had in '98 was freezing rain, and the minute it hit the ground or anything, it froze to ice. It never made it to the graupel state (?). I feel like we've just tapped into an iceberg of knowledge here though (see what I did there?), seeing as the Inuit people (note, the term eskimo is actually considered derogatory amongst that culture) have 50 different words for snow.
We had some fantastic weather this week, with 23-25 degrees Celsius.
going to be a high of about 18 degrees celsius today, which is just fantastic IMO. Very comfortable, and requires neither heating nor air-conditioning.
A few weeks ago it was about 27-28 degrees which is too warm for this month IMO
Turians don't like the heat.
Salarians, however, do. GIVE ME 35 DEGREES RIGHT NOW SO THAT I CAN CHILL IN MAH POOL WHILE SIPPING ON BEER.
So, I officially got a job in probably one of the coldest places in Canada. wooohoooo! Noveria for reals. I'll likely be providing very cold weather updates in the near future. (maybe in summer, who knows)
