I recently took my first Arcane Warrior (I know, I know) from 1-20 and I have a strange issue:

I felt a whole lot more durable on Perilous than on Threatening.

I ran Chain Lightning+Stonefist to fill my barrier and weaken enemies, lightsabering them when they got close, but generally letting my Staff of the Archon burn them and casting CL every cooldown. I noticed that on Threatening my barrier wasn't as consistently full as it was on Perilous, and that I felt much "safer" (as insane as that sounds) while in the thick of battle on Perilous. In both cases I was with a team, but didn't have a Keeper or Elementalist dropping barriers to augment my generation.

Am I simply suffering from a memory defect? Or is it an actual issue with the class, wherein overkill doesn't contribute to barriers (which makes some sense), making the more robust enemies of Perilous better for building that protection?

Unfortunately, I didn't stream it, so I don't have a video record to inspect. Thoughts?

More enemies with more HP means a more sustainable barrier. On threatening as AW I have times I run into enemies and use Fade Cloak only to have someone one shot a few things. I hit nothing leaving me with no barrier surrounded by things that want to kill me.
