I have heard that the Dragon Age rpg by Green Ronin states that some Tal-Vashoth have attempted the Joining, but none have yet survived.

I do not know how canonical this is.

It was kind of odd there's no Qunari NPCs anywhere.

I thought that with them being a playable race we'd also have a few Qunari merchants, minor questgivers and other minor characters (I especially thought there was going to be a female qunari character somewhere). I think Iron bull is the only qunari in the whole game (and the qunari that appears near Cullen's tower sometimes).

I always see a couple Qunari mercs hanging around in Skyhold. These are the MP models that you get to play as.

Yet still people like the Inquisitor' fathers and the Inquisitor him/herself still exists...

People don't need to be Qunari to lose their s*** when they're fish out of the water. Look at the templars. Or even better, at the mages in DA:I.

No, it's not a matter of just losing one's temper. One does not tear apart an entire family just because stuff has gone wrong, otherwise the entire Qunari military would have self destructed on their first defeat. Bull mentions in DA:I that rage is something the Qunari see as something that indicates a need for control and going tal vashoth is likened to going feral. While this may not happen all the time, there is a clear implication that the Qunari developed their religion at least partially to control themselves.

Just look at the Arishok. When he's dealing with bas he's cool as a cucumber. In battle he's like a cyclone. It's like he lets himself off the leash.

Well yes, but the ones we saw in DA2 were all bat-**** crazy.

On the flipside in DAI we can of course play as a Tal Vasoth mage at that, born to Tal Vasoth parents so...I'm sure there are good ones out there.

Really? I thought everyone in DA2 is bat-**** crazy...  ;)
