You are attracted to women with issues and want to fix things.

I nominate:

Cullen for warrior - he is better fighter than Cassandra and Blackwall combined

Harding for rogue - she uses bow so I'm assuming she is a rogue

For mage I don't know...... Oh! That suspicious elven woman in the first elven ruin.

....

Speechless.

I didn't even realise, but you're right...

I would understand for desire DEMONS, but this is disrespecting LGBTs and objectifying women. No thanks. You want a game with bimbos, play The Witcher 3. No, better idea... go seek help.

That attitude is very discriminatory. You support people who are attracted to persons of the same gender but do not support people who are attracted to "bimbos"? Surely being a "bimbo" is a valid lifestyle choice and being attracted to bimbos is likewise valid.

And maybe we should address your use of the word "bimbo" in order to deliberately demean those who have a lifestyle different from your own?

Rogue - Tallis (romancable for all) or Scout Harding (could be race-gated for dwarves only) I would say Sigrun, but too big of a chance for her being dead, so that's definetely not happening.(

Warrior - Cullen as companion would be nice. Or Arianne, a lot of potential there.

Mage -  Finn.

You clearly are overreacting and taking this way too seriously.

I know right? Say one thing, you get lynched for it. Say something that will please them and they will treat you like a Rock Star. If only we were all boring blank slates.

Just imagine if I used the terms: trophy wife or Waifu instead. Ugh. Whatever people. Women aren't toys to play with as men aren't tools to be used. Terms could be switched around easily anyways, to fit any situations. I like that Cassandra and Josephine aren't Barbie dolls. I like that they are so different from the usual mold most gamers are used to see. Different type of women, romances, realities. I like BioWare for creating interesting characters.

Wanting a "lesbian" who eventually falls for a man is incredibly homophobic.

And equating sexual orientation to liking gravity defying breasts is equally homophobic. Being gay isn't a preference.

My three nominations are:

  • Rogue: Leliana (no romance option, she's with the warden)
  • Arcane warrior: Warden-Commander (no romance option, with Leliana)
  • Mage: Merrill: Romance-able for both male and female

Hypothetically if you were to change the character, what changes would you make to adhere to your expectations? I'm very curious :)

Call her bisexual, which is apparently the character you want. Lesbians are only attracted to women, period. It doesn't matter how awesome your male PC is, a lesbian is not going to be into him.

Remember that the tribal elder made a deal with a demon in the black forest.  This is high fantasy!

my picks for new characters would be

Warrior: Ash warrior with his own mabari

Rogue: A Talon from the crows who is still with the crows. or a harlequin given to serve the inquisitor for his help with the winter palace

Mage: a female serrabass who follows the qun but decides to serve the inquisitor personally after saving it from its master. we can decide to free it from its bindings in skyhold or let her remained shackled.

I really like that ash warrior leader at Ostagar, in DAO, who was voiced by Greg Ellis.  :)

Also, even though I gave my picks at the beginning of this thread, I also nominate Carver. One of my favorite PTs of DA2 was when Carver was a Grey Warden and 100% friend of Hawke.

100% friend with Hawke? Is that even possible? All I hear from Carver in every playthrough is his never-ending whining and bickering (and his failed attempts at Isabella)  :P

Yes but it takes work. You have to be very careful when you pick up certain quests because he won't like them, so you can't have him there...he's very righteous.  :) I think the place I gained the most approval from him was doing Legacy. There's a lot of opportunity there.

He's also very funny with Merrill. He has a huge crush on her and he makes all these hints or even outright lets her know he likes her and she acts clueless the entire time and he gets very frustrated. He has become one of my favorite DA2 characters. He is such a grump.

Carver reminded me of my little borther which is pretty cool. The only time I was super annoyed with him was when he decided to join the Templars. EVERY response to his decision ended up with him whining about how you felt...so also like my brother.

The first time I played, I didn't take him to the Deep Roads so he joined the Templars. He's very unhappy as a Templar. After that, I always have taken him to the Deep Roads and he becomes a Grey Warden. He's very happy as a Grey Warden...it seems to be what he was meant to do with his life. He does remind me of a real person, a real little brother, who is jealous of his siblings.  :)

Some good suggestions in this thread. Although I probably would prefer new characters I would like to see Merrill return, as others have said with the mirror and all the other elfy stuff going on I think Merrill would be in her element. I also did really like the Sigrun idea, I really liked her in Awakening and I also love Morinth.

Love the desire demon idea. Would be funny to see Sera's reactions to her. I'm guessing she would be conflicted because on the one hand demon but on the other boobs.

I've also been thinking for a while that a tranquil companion would be interesting. They make me think of artificial intelligence (Data, EDI, the emergency medical hologram, etc) but of course they aren't artificial. They have no programming like an artificial intelligence would which I find interesting, so what motivates them? This is something I'd like to see explored further.

Of course the problem with a tranquil mage companion is that they would no longer have any magic. But I agree with one of the previous posters, there's no reason a tranquil mage couldn't have learnt how to use a bow.

I already had a backstory in my head for a tranquil rogue and circle blood mage so I might as well share.

Tranquil (former mage) Elven Rogue: Raised in Kirkwall's alienage she gained her skills as a rogue from her parents (who made their living as thieves). When she started to show signs of magic her parents arranged for her to be trained by one of the (many) apostates in Kirkwall in order for her to be able to hide her magic from the templars, she still continued her training as a rogue. It wasn't until years later that the templars caught up to her and locked her away in the oppressive Kirkwall circle of magi where she met....

Human Circle Blood Mage: Raised in Kirkwall's cirlce of magi she recalls little of her parents or her life before the circle. A naturally gifted mage, she strives to be the best and spends much of her time researching different types of magic including forbidden magic. When the elven apostate is brought to the circle the two young women become friends.

Tranquil Elven Rogue: Although she missed her life outside the circle she enjoyed being able to practice her magic freely without having to look over her shoulder. She was not as skilled as many of the other mages in the circle, but with some tutoring from her new human friend she passed her harrowing. The two women became inseparable and the elven woman's feelings for her friend grew, but she dared not confess how she felt. When the templars found a book of forbidden magic the human had been reading the young elf confessed in her stead and took the blame to save her. Before being made tranquil she made herself a promise never to tell the templars about her friend's use of blood magic. She kept the promise even though she could no longer feel anything for her friend.

Human Circle Blood Mage: The human was filled with guilt and grief for what had happened and so even though her friend was no longer the same she still spent time with her. When circle fell (due to the events of DA2) the two women managed to fight their way out and flee Kirkwall.

Er sorry that ended up being a bit more long winded than I intended. In any case the reason I think it would be more interesting to have another character along with the tranquil character is because we never really get to see a tranquil mage with a character that actually cared about them before they were made tranquil (well without getting all stabby anyway) someone who's not willing to let go even though the person they knew isn't really there any more. Also it would be a good opportunity to explore the idea of trying to cure tranquility, you know if you're into happy endings.

If she falls for a man she isn't a lesbian. Would you regard that wanting someone who is bisexual to fall for a man to be homophobic?

One could equally well say liking "gravity defying breasts" isn't a preference. Maybe he was born that way.
