3 companions sounds a bit much, now that I think about it. The only options left now is Person with sword and shield, and person with bow.

There are no actual spoilers. It's just this is a long post.

 

Aiko Yammamoto [Warrior]:

Unusual for the Dragon Age setting a woman who does not come from Thedas. She comes from a completely different realm south of Thedas. In this land dragons are not hostile creatures like the few you encounter in the Dragon Age games, instead they are the docile masters of their own kingdom. Aiko's dragon companion Yujin is no pet. Instead he is a loyal friend who fights along side Aiko. Regarding Aiko's race, to outsiders she would be classified as "human" though technically she is actually Dragon Kin since both of her parents were dragons, not humans. 

 

Aiko is a samurai style warrior with all of the same warrior skills only her specialisation is giving commands to Yujin. Yujin is a tiny dragon (who is the size of a dragon-ling, but due to being a different species is fully grown). Yujin is not just some fancy creature you give orders to. Yujin will interact as a party member in his own right and is someone you can talk to.

 

Personality wise, Aiko is a naive softly spoken individual but also a seasoned warrior. She tends to prefer the diplomatic approach avoiding all unnecessary conflict even when provoked. Calm and collected, she is someone who adores playing music, dancing, painting and singing. Aiko's fascination of history and culture makes her a valuable party member. Go to any place and talk to her when there is no fighting going on. She will tell you about the history of the area. When she was a child she was someone who had studied Thedas and wanted to one day visit. Unfortunately when she did visit, it was during the events of Dragon Age Inquisition.

 

Her companion Yujin is pretty much the reason you can't romance Aiko. In the culture of Uchi, anyone who forms a companionship with a dragon is bound by that dragon for life. By the sacred creed, they are not allowed to form any romantic attachments. Like many dragon companions, Yujin considers himself to be a guardian. Back in Uchi, dragons are in fact the dominant race with "humans" (they're not actually human, they're Dragon Kin) being in two classes. The Meiyo Class (Honoured class) are almost equal to the dragons whilst the Fumeiyo class are actually slaves to the dragons. Yujin is initially very bigotted towards the humans, elves and dwarves since all of these races are considered "Fumeiyo".  However his attitude changes greatly and he does become more friendly as time goes by.

 

Please note that Yujin is not available as a specialisation for the Inquisitor.

 

 

Asin Suresh  [Rogue]:

Another character who is not human, elf, dwarf or qunari. Asin is from a race that arguably pre-dated the elves, though it is hard to be certain. The Akash people of which she belongs to are now nomadic tribes who wonder Thedas selling their wares to passers by. Though legend has it they were once a proud race who dominated Thedas. There are no actual historical records to back this up, though if you ask any Akash they will tell you stories of a mighty empire. These days they tend to live in Antiva and it is said that most of the humans that live in Antiva are descendants of the Akash population (which is another unverifiable piece of informaiton).

 

Asin like her father is a trained marksman whose role is to protect her group of travelling nomads from bandits. Sadly, when the monsters of the fade attacked in Fereldan she was the only survivor. She now wonders the land looking for a purpose. Perhaps you can give her a purpose. After the death of her family she is left distraught and often uses her goofy sense of humour as a defence mechanism.

 

Asin is a very lively outgoing personality who loves nature and gets along very well with Sera. In fact she views Sera as a kindred spirit. These two will exchange jokes often.

 

In terms of specialisation, hers is the Guardian. This is normally a warrior specialisation, though for rogues this specialisation works differently. She has an alchemical concoction that allows her to take additional hits in battle. Her other abilities involve turning allies invisible enabling them to perform critical hits and her unique "explosive volley" ability where she rapidly fires explosive arrows.

 

Asin is a bisexual romance option for all races.

 

 

 

Rage [mage]:

Rage is a female Qunari blood mage. That's right a blood mage character. She doesn't actually have mana like other mages, rather she uses her blood as a power source. Capable of mind control, leaching health from corpses and dealing heavy damage she has become an infamous mage.

 

Unfortunately little is known about rage other than she left her home to avoid the dreaded fate as a saarebas. She is violent, unrelenting and uncompromising in her attitude. As you get to know her better, you find out about her very disturbing (and abusive) childhood. Suffice to say, the only person who showed her any respect was in fact a rage daemon. Her rage daemon friend has always been there for her picking her up during her most vulnerable moments. This Rage daemon is not the typical ones you meet in the fade. Varmahir is surprisingly well spoken and friendly when you meet him.

 

During Rage's quest line you meet Varmahir. You also meet him in the main campaign when you are sent into the fade. In every encounter he actually helps you out. Varmahir is someone who stands up for those who have been ill treated and will exact vengeance upon anyone who abuses others. Many of Rage's vengeful yet righteous traits come from Varmahir.

 

 

 

If you want an overpowered glass cannon mage who can regenerate their health then look no further than rage.

 

Rage is a romance option for Qunari of both sexes.

 

To make up for the fact that the rogue and mage gain new specialisations from the new companions (whereas Yujin is not available to the warrior Inquisitor), the warrior will gain the Beserker specialisation to pick.

Danayah is a blonde, buxom warrior babe who wears skimpy light armor and wields a two handed sword, she also uses a bow when need be. During combat her long, golden hair is tied back.  Her face is unbelievably feminine and beautiful to a point where she throws male enemies off guard.

 

Backstory: She grew up in an all women tribe of blondes who enjoy orgies and take handsome, strong men as slaves and use them until they are spent.  All these women care about is glory in combat, sex and physical attraction. They liberate women from brothels and teach them how to be strong and self respecting. They teach women to use their sexual prowress to their advantage and to be strong and take care of their bodies.  Her tribe hates seeing women persecuted or mistreated in anyway.

 

 

I like the idea. I love variety however I would tone down a lot of the details.

Sexually promiscuous character? Sure. We had Isabella. I just want there to be personality traits outside of the "Dominant sex obsessed woman".

Also, she has to wear proper armour in combat. I'm okay with the skimpy outfits for her sexual encounters but not in combat.

With a lot of tweaking I reckon this character could work.

Mage: Adaar, he is a knight enchanter, Vashoth who had never lived under the Qun. He also has near perfect command of fire and ice. He is soft spoken and gentle with friends but, a ruthless powerhouse who delights in roasting, freezing and slicing enemies to bits on the battle field.

 

Rogue: Shaylor Hawke. He wields dual jeweled daggers and, his words and personality are as quick and cutting as his blades.

 

Warrior: Avaarad, strong, quite Qunari Tal-Vashoth complete with his own serrabas who choose not to be free from Avaarad. Together they are a nearly unstoppable team with the serrabas healing and protecting his master while his master is as skilled as the best sten in combat.

You either cast it manually every time, which is painfully tedious, or you just hope your mage doesn't waste it by casting it too early or on an injured ally who's safe from harm.
