Meh. She can wear whatever she wants. A little side boob never killed a kid. She seems like a good mom, so I trust her judgment on that. Plus, it's her iconic look. But it does beg the question: Is that the same exact outfit from 10 years earlier or did she get new versions of the same outfit made over the years.......

The dress is obviously home made. I'm sure she makes repairs and swaps fabrics.

When you live in a cabin in the woods, you need to know some basic DIY.

Why would it be inappropriate? There's nothing lying under there anyway.

People also seem to forgot that she grew up in the Korcari Wilds. You know, that place that's right above the frozen wastelands? Morrigan is use to a bit of cold weather.

It didn't make sense then either and was clearly designed to make her sexy rather than to make her look like she was from a cold swamp. (I live in Alaska and people here don't run around in bikini tops no matter how used to the cold they are)That's not the part that bothers me though, it's the fact that she has the exact same outfit after a decade. The original outfit looked like randomly cobbled together scraps and it doesn't make sense that she would still have it (or make an identical one) especially since she now has the means to buy or make real clothes.  It's obviously to make her recognizable but I think they should have given her a new outfit. Her voice and general appearance are enough to recognize her by.

Because the cloth that mages wore provided more protection right?

I always had Morrigan in armor - along with everyone else on my team.  Can't do that in DA2 or DAI because your team is gonna dress how they want to dress.  But at least for someone like Vivienne you can craft robes with a chest panel.  That's all I ask.  Don't put your squishy bits out there to get stabbed into by red templars.  How they dress in the keep in their off time is their business.

I really liked seeing Morrigan again and her in her own outfit? No complaints from me! :D I think they did it more as a favor to the fans with the fact they brought Morrigan back and she was the same Morrigan they remember.

Plus I think her standing around in the garden dressed up like a silly noble would have seemed VERY out of character for her. her outfit is like her attitude. Bold and out there for all to see.

Typical idiotic BSN answer. It's not what I think, it's what you can see in reality and has nothing to do with social rules. In general, women with childs, except of most teeny mums, become more mature, when they get a child. What Morrigan wears is the outfit of a party babe, who enjoys life.

Show me a picture of a "strong and independent" woman with such slutwear in company of her children!

Morrigan likely wears Chasind Attire. If so, saying Morrigan dresses like a club scene girl is saying the irl Yanomami Tribe are all nasty strippers.

I think after 10 years, she should have changed her look. It's like how in Assassin's Creed 3, each of the Templars wear their exact same outfit... for more than 20 years. I have the Origins mod that lets you have Flemeth's armor, which I always give to Morrigan after acquiring a certain grimoire. It just makes sense to me to upgrade her look, rather than have her be stuck with the trappings she had as a young, unskilled mage going on her first quest.

Hawke is sort of in the same boat but at least it's armor and that's a little bit more understandable. I guess that's what she considers armor or maybe she's wearing the robes of possession that you give her when you pretend to kill Flemeth for her and is forced to wear that all the time. Kinda funny if you think about it especially when she drinks from the well.

Seriously though she doesn't have to dress like a noble but something a little more "Morrigan" but updated. Also this is not 9:30-31 Dragon this is HARVESTMERE, 9:41 DRAGON *in Fiona's dark future voice. A decade of fashion to draw from! Her dress at the Ball was very Morrigan... the dark colors and her signature blue/green feathers pinned to the plunging neckline that drops just low enough to reveal an interesting metallic bra she teases us with underneath.

She looks like a wild woman standing next to her son in the Skyhold Garden. He's dressed very "Morrigan".

I'm still mad over the ridiculous inquisition formal outfits you, your party members and your advisers have to wear to the ball. I would've loved to see character specific formal attire. They could have done so much interesting stuff with Leliana, Josephine, Vivienne, Dorian and Cole, etc. Seriously Vivienne would not wear that sh*t ever. That conversation Dorian has with Cole about the hats, so much potential...

Also what about the masks? Why are the inquisition members the only people unmasked? Actually Morrigan too. But I feel that's very Morrigan of her. She'll compromise only so much so no silly mask for her.

The only way I can explain it(to myself) they are coming with an attitude that this is their "true" face they wish to show "Thedas" or "Orlais". And the reason for the same attire is to convey some type of intimidation or force to be reckoned with. It makes sense only if you don't do any of that double dealing nonsense with Celene, Briala, and Gaspard and force all 3 of them to work together.

I don't mind, and not just because she's the most attractive woman Bioware's ever crafted with their own one hand.

I just find it odd that while Leliana and Allistar have updated her look a couple of times, the only change in outfit Morrigan has is getting a proper bra to go with her swamp witch rags.

What's appropriate or not is a function time and place, culture and period. Personally, I find it sad that we exist in a time and place there we have so many taboos related to the display of our bodies.

I was, however, disappointed in Morrigan's outfit. The DA:I concept art for her had some great looking possibilities, but they just fell back on her DA:O outfit. :(

Regarding the whole "cold weather" issue, turns out she's only half Chasind.  Other half?  Finnish.

The bra/snood combo looked ridiculous in DA:O, and it looks just as bad now.  I wouldn't say it was "inappropriate" as much as I would say "tacky"

And gloves too. The lady on the right has no scarf at all. But she is wearing gloves!

Its not inappropriate, still, it would have been nice to see her in something else than the same ole rags she wore in the wilds. My Warden, who went through the eluvian had a quite a bit of gold at the end of DAO/DAA/Witch Hunt. There's been a new invention, its called a clothing store. Seriously, Iconic BS is just that, buy something new.

I found it fine since if she wore that outfit from her son's birth to now, he would be used to it and couldn't care less. He is a God after all and is focused on more important things than his mother's clothing. What surprised me a bit was her sudden change in breast size. She looked thin instead of voluptuous.

... which reminds me... Flemeth and Hawke have the same outfits after 10 years as well.

Damn it, OP.

For Hawke, it would only be 1 or 2 years.

Flemeth...thousands. Her statues depict her wearing that armor. ;)

Oh right...because she cares what other people say... Her outfit is iconic and there's nothing wrong with it. Even if she has the boy.
