So now that you know and have met your entire crew, what are you thoughts? I really like the crew. My mind just noted some humorous comparisons.

Liara? She is clearly Zhaan from Farscape. Linking minds? Hmm... we all know you are doing "unity". What Blue does on Farscape.

Kaiden? Clearly Carth Onasi from Knights of the Old Republic and Delta 62 from Republic Commando.

Garrus? You mean, Batman.

Zaeed is clearly Canderous Ordo. The Mandalorian/mercenary from Star Wars.

Ashley... something about her reminds me of the Oracle girl from one of the Batman games.

Joker is like a cross between Eli from Stargate: Universe, and Wash from Firefly.

... yeah I should probably stop with the cheesy comparisons, huh?

Regardless, I like all of my crew. Some more than others, but they are all okay by me.

What about you? Anything nice? Feel free to complain, too. And try to make your rant a little humorous while you are at it.

Let's see...

I did a rating on here of which characters I loved, liked, disliked, or hated.

Love: Miranda, Javik, Mordin, Thane

Like: James, Grunt, Zaeed, Wrex, Kaidan, Jacob, EDI (ME2), Legion (ME2), Samara

Dislike: Garrus, Jack, Legion (ME3), Morinth, Kasumi

Hate: Ashley, Tali, Liara, EDI (ME3)

I suppose I like most of the characters.

This is in highest rank too. The character named first is the one that I feel the most like for each category. I love Miranda most, like James most, dislike Garrus most, and hate Ashley most.

Glad to see someone else sees the character shift in Legion.  It's almost like it was reprogrammed at the most fundamental levels to change underlying mathematical equation results leading Legion to develop opinions diametrically different to those it held before.  Oh wait.  At the very least, the Reapers have subjected the Geth to a form of the virus introduced in Legion's ME2 loyalty mission.  There's no other logical in-game explanation for so radical a change in Legion's perspective.

When I think of the overall crew, my thoughts tend to lead me to Mess Sergeant Gardner.  Was he lost in the duct work?  Did he report back to the Illusive Man?  Who replaced him as lead Normandy chef?  Hopefully not James; I hear his "eggs" are awful.  Granted, that's not necessarily his fault.  They only looked like eggs.

I can't think of a single crew member I dislike, they all have their moments to shine and something about them that interests me.

My all-time faves: Legion, Thane, Mordin (yeah ME3 was a hell of a ride lol) Liara, Garrus, Javik (hmm all non-humans. That probably says a lot about me.)

I never got Zaeed so I don't know about him but the only squaddie that I never quite connected to was Grunt. It seemed like they took the satire of a "faceless warrior personality" to such extremes that he was almost indistinguishable from a "faceless warrior personality". I don't dislike him at all, and let's face it: I'm probably missing something about him that is endlessly fascinating.

As far as I'm considered, they're all part of family Vas Normandy!

Grunt is hilarious. Sure, he's very enthusiastic about fighting, but he's hardly faceless or without personality.

And his whole 'birthday party' story in ME 3. Complete with the line at the end. Considering what he said about ramen in ME 2, he clearly got over the whole "looks like dead worms" thing.

Reapers are Mass Effect Qun in this way.

Oh things are just great... just think like us... it'll be fantastic.

Except that bit and that bit, but its all part of a big picture, you see?

Legion, that Judas!

Please continue... (I do anyway)

Ashley is a bit like Kira Neris,

Joker is definetly more Wash than Eli (I didn't like SG:U, at all)

Grunt has something of Jayne Cobb ("What did you order a dead guy for?" is something I can very much imagine as coming from Grunt)

Tali would be a mixture of Kaylee, Miles O'Brien and a bookshelf

Mordin is actually an older and more likeable Rodney McKay

Offtopic:

Teal'C for ME:Next!

Edit: ...and a singing holo-doc!

I like them all, to be clear. Even Jacob, I like to the barest extent.

But I only really really enjoy a few. Like up to 5ish out of the 19ish (talking squadmates).

I think Bioware can do much better in the future, and should. Not that they did bad, to be clear.

I care about character continuity so I personally do hope Bioware doesn't abandon them all, never/rarely to even be mentioned again. Ew. But I know others, including devs, may disagree.

BUT. I also am quite open to meeting a new crew. While I'd prefer at least some (think at least the 2/10 or 2/12 for ME2) be familiar faces, I won't condemn Bioware for making them all new.

I like everyone and I don't want to let go of them (or at least most of them), but I at least want an evolution of my Mass Effect experience, with or without them. Preferably with them though, which is partially why I latch onto certain theories, that if true (not even IT here), would allow me to move forward with at least some version of the characters I've spent time with.

Joker can annoy me, yet I also feel it isn't Mass Effect without him... If I could, I'd at least make a VI Joker to make the place feel more like home in the next game.

And I can't imagine Mass Effect without even the more symbolic 'spirit' of the Normandy. This is sometimes seen as just the ship, but then EDI was added, and then ME3 establishes (albeit often more of an optional) a feeling that the whole of the Normandy (ship+EDI+people+Shepard) makes the Normandy. To move too fast away from that might alienate me, and I'm someone who DOES want to move away from it in the end.

Ashley... something about her reminds me of the Oracle girl from one of the Batman games.

Ah, Kimberley Brooks. Did they have to replace her for Arkham Knight?!

OT: I don't think there's a single character that I explicitly dislike. Even Morinth - that's to say, I suppose I wouldn't really like Morinth if I ever met her in person, but as a character she has some interesting nuances. Never recruited her though.

Garrus and Ashley are my top two, and my go-to team. Legion is up there, primarily for all his ME2 dialogue. Talking philosophy with an AI was just fun. Similarly - EDI, though I rarely took her on missions.

I suppose Javik doesn't really do anything for me - his sense of humour is far too dry, and he comes across as painfully intolerant at times. I'm certainly never letting him near the airlock...

Miranda provided an interesting contrast to my own outlook on life. Zaeed is a walking talking cliche, and I love him for it. And Mordin is hilarious - but also a brilliant depiction of a scientific mind.

Oh, and Joker gave me a reason to smile every time I came up to the cockpit :)
